Planning a bachelor party getaway, I came across Adeline's House of Cool by total chance while cruising through VRBO's website. Despite my trepidation about its distance, rural area and price, I couldn't be more thoroughly satisfied and "WOWED" by my experience at this house. After our arrival, every person in the group had the same question..."Where did you find this place???" The owner, a fine and extremely helpful gent named Brian, made me look like a total genius. The residence itself encompasses so many personalities, but I would almost liken it to living at a giant bar with bedrooms, a cozy den, a grill and fire pit, and the biggest jacuzzi you have ever seen in your entire life!!
My description can't even do this place the proper justice it deserves. There are so many things to see, do, and explore both outdoors and indoors that you may find yourself feeling like you didn't get to witness it all by the time you leave. The second floor balcony is a maze with beautiful sight-lines and places to relax everywhere. Did I mention that this place is nestled right on a little stream that leads to Lake Puckaway? We were consistently mesmerized by the decor, layout, and little items that add to the character of the house.
Although we were here for a bachelor party (and took full advantage of the bar/party like atmosphere) this place is perfect for families, couples, or any sizeable group that is looking for the perfect vacation that is far enough away, but not TOO far away. The owner, Brian, and the greeter/caretaker, Tom, were both extremely friendly, helpful, and desired to do everything in their power to make sure we were prepared, informed, and had an all-around enjoyable experience. I will most definitely be going back to Adeline's House of Cool, and anyone reading this review is definitely missing out on a special experience if they ultimately abstain.
