Beautiful view

Love the location of this listing! The view is gorgeous. The condo is right near where the beach path is, so that was very convenient. It was nice having a/c throughout the two bedrooms and the living room. From my understanding not all condos at HBR have A/c in all the rooms. We rented the two bedroom and both had a/c. Overall we really liked our stay. Parish sent several texts checking in etc so the communication is great. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is the condo is a little run down- had some things broken and/or missing. For example the curtain in the living room was broken. But these things didn’t bother us, more so just a few items needed for general up keep. But we had a great time at this rental!

Great condo!

The condo was fabulous clean updated perfect view! The only thing I would add is lanai furnishing are old and need to be replaced.. other than that we will be back again! This is our 4th visit and stayed at Hanalie Bat Resorts.Highly Recommended!

Great, but with a drawback

TL;DR: Nice unit with great view, marred by constant low frequency whirrrrrrrrrrrrr from attic vent that no one could shut off all week. THE GOOD The view is wonderful. You do see a few other buildings, but Hanalei bay is lovely and the panorama of mountains in the background is spectacular. There are lanais off of each bedroom and the main room. The unit is nicely furnished, in great shape, and has late-model appliances. Hanalei Bay resort is nice: they have a decent bar/restaurant, there is nice walk down to the beach, and they have the usual resort amenities (and the usual ‘resort fee’ and parking fees). I was pleasantly surprised to find that the resort did NOT charge an arm and a leg for renting snorkeling gear, but had prices that were I think a bit better than the rental chains — good work HBR! THE BAD The big annoyance was that there was constant background sound of a big vent or fan running, apparently in the closed off attic space. It was a low frequency vibration that I found quite annoying; I wore ear plugs at night, but they didn’t entirely block out the sound. We talked to people at the HBR front desk, who said they would address the problem. When they didn’t after the first day, we contacted the management company, “Parrish Collection Kauai,” who responded very promptly by telephone, and sent someone over (she heard it too, and agreed it was loud). However, Parrish was responsive and made all the right nosies, they weren’t actually able to do anything. After a 2-3 days of them being apologetic and saying they were talking to HBR folks and would “keep on them,” Parrish stopped touching base with us, and we gave up and did our best to enjoy our stay. OVERALL So, nice place, but I really disliked the vent noise, and don’t think that the noise, or the fact that Parrish stopped getting back to us, is acceptable given the premium prices and all the fees. Too bad. I would not rent this unit again, and I would also be wary of renting unit 4306 which is next door, and where I think the vent noise would be slightly louder.
