What I loved:
1. The Location: This condo is directly across the street from the grocery store, and close to downtown Crested Butte, the Arts Center, and meeting places for the Wildflower Festival classes.
2. The set-up: There are 2 bedrooms downstairs and a bathroom. Upstairs is open with another bathroom, a small kitchen, a dining area, and a living room.
3. The communication from the managing company (Watchdog Vacation Rentals) was excellent. There were a few minor issues that came up and they were on it, taking care of anything & answering in a timely fashion.
What I liked:
1. The furniture was comfortable.
2. The beds were comfortable. I appreciated having the king size bed, even if it was a little tight. (The other bedroom has a queen bed.)
3. The kitchen was adequately supplied with pots, pans, and appliances.
What could be improved:
1. Although it had been cleaned, it had that grimy appearance that happens with seasons of use. (Dirty grout, worn & stained area rugs, chips and stains in doors and cabinets). That being said, this is a dusty area and there’s no way to keep that out of the condo.
2. The decor is a mish-mash and the cabinets are worn and old. The place has a very heavy, uninviting atmosphere - could use updates/a little HGTV touch needed.)
3. There is no air conditioning which is not an issue - but needs window screens!
THE GOOD NEWS: According to the property team, a major upgrade at the end of the season. 5 stars then!
