We recently stayed at this rental house in the mountains of Montana. The location is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views and a serene atmosphere. However, our stay was marred by a few significant issues.
Firstly, despite paying $500 a night, there was no air conditioning, not even a window unit. In the dead of summer, this made for very uncomfortable nights. We tried opening the windows at night and closing them during the day to manage the heat, but it was still too hot to sleep well. For the price, installing at least a window unit in the bedroom seems like a basic necessity.
Additionally, the TV downstairs didn't work, which was a disappointment. While the natural beauty of the location is a major draw, having a functioning TV is a reasonable expectation for a rental at this price point.
There are also areas that need updating. The lamp in the master bedroom had duct tape on it, which was quite tacky and not what we expected from a high-priced rental.
We truly love the location and would love to stay here again, but these issues need to be addressed. Installing air conditioning, fixing the TV, and making some updates to the furnishings would make a world of difference. Otherwise, we will probably look for another place to stay next time.
