While looking for properties, we fell in love with the wonderful views of the pines and the great natural light from the many windows across the front and back of this house.
We also loved that when you look out the windows of the Great Room from many vantage points, you don't see any other houses! It really feels like you are in nature.
There are a lot of steps but the climb is always worth it as any stress melts away as we gaze through the windows and relax in front of the fire.
We also fell in the love with the large Great Room and generously sized 4 bedrooms. Plenty of comfortable and functional areas to congregate as a family but also plenty of opportunities to get away for alone time! Definitely needed for our family of 5 which includes a teenage, a college student and a young adult :-)
Lastly and a huge bonus are the hot tub and sauna. We and our kids love them!
We are renting the home as a vacation rental to help cover operating costs. While the home is dated (circa 1980), it is well-maintained, custom-built, clean, and we've updated many of the furnishings with log furniture, mountain decor, high-quality mattresses, and really invested in quality bedding with hypoallergenic protective covers and waterproof pads. New sheets, pillows, comforters, some new blankets). We also put in a new front deck, flagstone flooring, carpeting, washer and dryer, USB B & C outlets, rock retaining wall, garage door opener, bathroom racks and holders, and LED recessed lighting.
For convenience, comfort and safety, we've also installed a Nest thermostat, Nest smoke and carbon dioxide detectors, Caseta programmable switches and a front door keypad (yeah, no keys!). You just tell us when you arrive, and we'll ensure the lights and heat are on to welcome you. And we can turn them off when you leave. A front door and garage keypad means no need to keep track of keys.
And a bear box means no trips to the dumpster.
We want to make it easy for you!
