Snowglobe Vacation House Review

We had an incredible stay at Snowglobe, a spacious and cozy cabin nestled in Ward Canyon. The house was perfect for our family getaway—quiet, inviting, and very dog-friendly, making it ideal for both kids and pets. The neighborhood was peaceful, with friendly neighbors, and the location offered easy access to nature right out the back door. The cabin itself was well-equipped with great amenities, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay. Whether we were lounging inside by the fireplace or exploring the surrounding outdoors, Snowglobe provided a wonderful escape. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tranquil and family-oriented retreat!

Love the Snowglobe

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our fourth time in 4 years renting the snowglobe as a family and we love it more each time we go. It is the most perfect home in the most perfect location! One thing I would say, and this is not a knock on the home, is that the drainage needs to be fixed in the garage so that when snow melts from the driveway into the garage, it does not collect on the inside of the garage. This has been an issue for a couple years with this house as far as we can tell.

Uniquely beautiful home + location.

The Snowglobe is a beautifully designed and built home in a wooded area with generous spacing between homes and wide open space behind it. The natural light and views are great. The kitchen is very well appointed (quality pots/pans/knives/etc). If you have a ski pass or pre-purchased tickets, you are just a two minute drive from the Sherwood lift at Alpine Meadows/Palisades. Stunning architecture. Great fireplace. Jacuzzi bathtub + separate shower in master. Two other nice full bathrooms. Comfy bedding. Garage for your car. Recommended!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this house for the MLK 2024 weekend; it was our second time staying here. House is great - very comfortable, well-stocked, clean and the light in the main room during the day is great. Layout is good too - one main bedroom + full bath on the top floor; two bedrooms and full bath on second floor; and TV room and full bath on the ground floor. For skiers, location is great when Sherwood chair is running at Alpine, but even when it isn't, easy drive to both Alpine and Palisades.

We felt like we were in a tree house, with gorgeous forest views, and stars we could see from our bed at night. We enjoyed walking to Alpine Meadows for a mellow hike. And yet we were really close to the lake, Fire Sign, West Shore Market, etc. The home was in beautiful condition - extremely well maintained, clean, spacious. We will definitely be back! Thanks for such a wonderful stay.

Will definitely will stay again

The snow globe is in the woods with very quiet neighbors. It was well stocked and made you feel at home. The windows, woodwork and the little creek set the stage for relaxing tranquility. Short drive down the hill to the lake. Thank you for sharing your home.

Delightfully colorful getaway

Magically like being inside a snowglobe when it's snowing with endless forest and burbling brook outside. Well stocked and close to both Palisades skiing and Sunnyside on Lake Tahoe. Only the small size (a double in the second bedroom) and location of the beds for adults was a problem. Two of the six slept first in the kids room then in the family room pull-out. On the whole one of our absolutely best ski rentals in 38 years of renting and the owners even welcomed our dog!

Fantastic stay

Everything about this house was great for our family. The little things lacking in other places were in abundance here and very comfortable. Blankets everywhere, items for kitchen to be able to cook good meals, access to areas of house. The view is amazing and the neighborhood was great to walk in. Very close to the slopes!

Warm, sweet home deep in the forest

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is so well stocked, really warm, and surrounded by beautiful forests. It has plenty of space to spread out, is really great for hanging out while cooking or playing games or staring at the stars. We have stayed in a lot of rental homes and found this one uniquely well supplied and laid out. It also has access to the back of Alpine mountain for a real winter bonus. We've booked this home for 3 weekends and will continue to use it when available. Plus, we like dealing with the Hauserman rental group who manages it.
