Our family of 5 (2 teens and a 10 year old) stayed this June for 8 days. This unit is ground floor and faces the pool and beach but doesn't offer a beach view.. Overall we had a wonderful time in Treasure Cay at Bahama Beach Club and would go back. Here are a few things a renter might like to know:
Pros: very spacious unit for 5 ppl. Had adequate items in kitchen, washer and dyer were newer and worked great, linens and beds were comfortable. Plenty of bath towels, unit was spotlessly clean, what staff we did see were friendly, this unit was not located near the MAIN pool which means it's MUCH quieter, the pool near this unit was warm and clean - hot tub too, the beach location of this resort is on the most gorgeous beach we have ever seen. Don't miss the sand bar located just south of this complex that arrises during low tide. Idyllic. Parking outside is adequate but be sure to rent a golf cart in advance. We almost missed out on getting one because local vendors were booked. Cart is adequate if you just want to stay in Treasure Cay but we also had a car which is needed if you want to do any exploring of the rest of Abaco. The Treasure Cay Marina bar has Pizza Night on Thursday and it seems like the whole village goes for that. Really fun atmosphere, live music, etc. Get there early if you don't want a long line to order pizza. Convenient little grocery store with lots of essentials is a 5 min cart ride away.
Cons: unit should be checked for spiders...there were LOTS of the not-so-scary "Daddy Long Leg" type of spiders which didn't bother me a bit but freaked out my teen daughter. Beach towels are NOT included with this unit. Additional non-glass drinkware in the kitchen would be really nice too. The pool deck needs to be resurfaced. It seemed shabby and uncomfortable under foot. Also, the bar near the pool on this side of the resort is rarely open. Would have been nice to have a place to get drinks closer to our unit. Overall, food options in Treasure Cay aren't great and what is there is very expensive, so we ate in for breakfast and lunch. We tried several places and overall were OK but be ready to pay $20-45pp for entrees (even burgers). The drapes on the windows are adequate for privacy for provided almost no light control.
Overall, we loved this unit and would stay in it again. Our trip was wonderful. Bahama Beach Club is a great place to stay!!
