Outstanding property and service. Wonderful experience in a luxury house in Côte D’Ivoire
This is a truly beautiful property. It actually looks better in real life than in the pictures. When we walked in we were really blown away. We stayed at the Hotel Ivoire before being collected by our hostess and the transition was very smooth. We were a large group of 10 so needed the main house and all 5 of the rooms outside. We stayed over Christmas and New Year and hired two housemaids, a car with driver and a breakfast cook in addition to the rental of the property. This was all arranged in advance by Bernard and his wife Camara. Bernard answered many emails over many months in detail about the arrangements including sending us a letter of invitation for visas. I am not a French speaker so this took extra time and effort which we were grateful for. Both the main house and outside rooms are well appointed, decorated to a high standard and very clean. The house sits in grounds and gardens that are immaculately maintained by the groundsman Ibrahim who was a gentleman and a credit to the house. The property has many great features - multiple seating areas which is great for large groups and families, good aircon in all rooms - essential, a large and deep pool suitable for good swimmers and children, good location - World Heritage site, minutes from the beach and good restaurants. We felt very safe and looked after by all of the staff but especially Camara who was attentive and kind. The trip was an important one for our family and she made every effort to make it special. Camara managed all of the staff, checked rooms twice daily if not more, handled our last minute dinner party requests, cooked delicious African and European food! She really was excellent and made the stay very memorable.
