Johnson Family Vacation

We absolutely LOVED our time at "Sweetwater" The added touches of seasonal decor really made us feel at home. It was roomy and so beautiful! we truly appreciated the wood that was provided for the cabin. The location was great! Just a short drive to everything, especially Blue Ridge. Home away from home!!

The star rating I've given this property is three Stars because I have absolutely no idea what VRBO are asking me to rate? They've given me 6 rows of stars and no categories. It's a beautiful two story cabin, furnished with rustic accents, almost exactly like the VRBO pictures. It is very clean, but is showing signs of wear and tear. The trail to the the creek was signposted but we lost the trail as it was all overgrown and we were being attacked by mosquitos. We called hear the running water, but saw no signs of it. Even though the lock box is situated on the ground floor level, you'll want to get off load your bags, food etc on the main terrace floor as navigating the narrow and steep stairs from the basement to the main living area is a little treacherous with bags and suitcases, etc. Bathroom areas we very clean and well presented. We found that each bathroom had different shower fixtures and the en suite bathroom shower had a very unusual switch in the tub spout for diverting the water to the shower.We didn't use the hot tub as all the bushes shown in the pictures had been removed and there was no privacy. The main and guest room mattresses did show signs of wear and sagging which made for a little bit of uncomfortable sleeps. The main terrace was wonderful and we took our breakfasts there in the cool morning air. Wonderful. The kitchen is well supplied with all the appliances you could possibly need. The leather power recliner couch was an added bonus.

Perfect stay

We had so much fun at this property. Between the hot tub, fire pit, lovely beautiful view/walkway to the creek. We totally relaxed and enjoyed our 5 days here. Multiple times we woke up in the morning to see deer just at the end of the driveway. Communication was great with the property manager. The cabin was clean when we arrived and we felt completely safe with the cleaning standards. The pictures of this place don’t do it justice we were so surprised when we got there with how spacious the whole place is. We all had ample privacy between couples and more than enough kitchen room/counter space to cook and have fun. Would definitely look to book again!

Cabin stays

It was not one of my favorites, that’s for sure. We were locked out from having heat above 62*for almost 3 days. The weather was rainy and cold in the low 50’s in the day. We made several calls, and 2 stops at Cuddle up ( rental Co. ) before someone came to help. We were told that yes it locked us out at 62*. There are electrical problems in this cabin. Fuses were blowing every time we used more than one thing at a time. There was no heat in the lower level. Although I’m not sure exactly who’s fault this is Cuddle up rental Co. was aware of the problem, according to maintenance worker who came to fix our lock out on heat. Or if it’s the owner who may or may not be aware of this issue. Trash cans outside were extremely full. We had to call to have the cans emptied. I do not know when the cabin was last rented before us. However, it was broom clean but shower curtains were water stained brown especially in the lower bathroom. The towels supplied were ample for sure but they seemed like they were sitting around somewhere for a while. Definitely not fresh, I washed before using them. Although I did not wash the quilts they also were not fresh at all they smelled musty and looked like they were not clean. The ad said there was a trail to walk on to the water but 50 yards does not make a trail, it advertised that a kayak/ canoe was available it was not. It advertised a dart board there was none. The stairs to the lower level are steep and narrow with one step that was a different height poor lighting made it difficult to see. As a result I feel down those last 3 steps, and got 😢 hurt. Nope won’t like to stay there again. Bad week with the virus 🦠 nothing open and could not cancel at short notice.

Great getaway cabin

The cabin is located in a great area, not hard to get to and very secluded from other people. It was clean and had all the amenities you could want. Overall it was a great place to stay.

Beautiful ♥️

We enjoyed our stay. It was so nice to see that the cabin was still decorated beatiful for Christmas. The weather was not the best we only had one nice day without rain but the cabin offers plenty to keep a family entertained and enjoying each other. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin with my family. A perfect place for some relaxation and quietness.

Nice but needs some things

A nice place to stay. Just a few small adjustments needed. Too many chemicals in the hot tub, we were almost asphyxiated. Could use a microwave downstairs. Fix the driveway and level a spot to park. Too many rules posted throughout the whole house by Cuddle Up Cabins.

Great Cabin!!

This cabin has everything you need and so spacious. Our family stayed over Spring Break and had the best time! Very convenient to Blue Ridge Horseback Riding and Ziplining. Less than 10 minutes away!

Clean and relaxing

We loved the cabin very relaxing just sitting on the deck listening to the creek. The downstairs game room is awesome along with the other games that you can enjoy playing on the screened in deck. We will definitely be staying here again in the near future.

JUST BEAUTIFUL FOR MY 50TH BIRTHDAY!!!

THIS CABIN WAS HOME AWAY FROM HOME, WE FELL IN LOVE WITH THE INSIDE AND THE OUTSIDE OF THIS LOVELY CABIN MY FIANCE AND I WAS SO AMAZED FROM UPSTAIRS TO DOWNSTAIRS LOVING THE GAME ROOM, BEDROOMS, BATHROOMS, THE BEAUTIFUL KITCHEN, JACUZZI, SCREENED IN PORCH ETC.
