Home is nice property management horrible

The home was nice with desert feel. However, the pool and spa were not open to use. The property management company vakaska were very demanding and difficult to deal with. We booked our stay on short notice and paid upfront. Still I was getting multiple calls and requests to verify my identity and check in. At one point they were saying I needed to check in 22 miles away from the property. When we said we couldn't do that, it was a lot of calls to do the virtual check in. The code did not work as promis d and we had to call again for another code. On the day of the checkout I was getting text messages hours ahead of time rushing us out. The home is alright but all these inefficient extra steps were not needed and created stress while we are on vacation. Also they would have charged 100 a night to get the pool heated but again since we booked late it was not even an option. Obviously if you rent the home for the outdoor amenities this didn't make sense. Appreciat the due diligence but not necessary and wrong attitude for families renting out for 2 nights who already paid all and sent in all verifications. We booked through VRBO but don't know how this separate property management company came into play.

Quiet and beautiful

The most bizarre part of this rental is dealing with Vacasa - the property manager. They appear to be using AI to answer text inquiries so you get incorrect and strange answers to questions. And they provide conflicting and missing information regarding check-in and check-out.

Quick getaway

We loved the property. The management company was very responsive. There is access to hiking everywhere. My only complaint is it is a bit of drive to Palm Springs and because we took a short vacation we couldn’t explore that area as much as I would have liked. But, that’s on us! Will have to go back again.

Great get away

We loved that all 3 bedrooms had their own bathrooms. Large living space made hanging out comfortable. We loved the pool.

Great home, pool and views!

What a cute ‘lil desert home. A sweet note and treat awaited our arrival. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of bath and pool towels. The pool was perfect for our two families. There were a couple umbrellas to help with shade and can’t beat that Mountain View! As mentioned in other reviews there were a few bees that you had to be aware of but left us alone for the most part. The only bummer may have been the controller for the pool lights was missing when we got there but we were able to address it with the pool guy and he was quick to try and help. The kitchen is well stocked! We were able to cook or bbq every meal! When we had any questions or concerns (didn’t realize there were extra trash bins in back🙈) everyone we came in contact with was so quick to respond and very kind and professional! We definitely hope to be back! Oh and if you happen to be there in winter or spring (or if you’re an early summer riser) definitely bring your hiking shoes! There’s some great trails!

La Quinta VRBO

This property needs updating both on the outside and inside. The view of the mountain is awesome but the pool decking is falling apart, can’t walk out side without shoes. It’s in dire need of repair. You can’t enjoy the area around it because you will be bit to death with mosquitoes and always dodging bees. There is a bee hive in the rocks of the spa. The beds in the house are comfortable but the bathrooms need updating from shower heads and handles to one of the toilets is not bolted down and rocks when you sit on it. One of the bathroom sinks needs repair to the stopper. Can only let the water out if you put your finger nails under it and pull it up. The toilet paper holder in the master bath is broken and every time you try to get a piece of paper it falls off to the floor. No batteries in the TV remote in master bedroom. The kitchen fry pans or skillets need replacing. Everything sticks to pan and teflon is all scratched off. Horrible driveway if you have more than one medium to large car. I would say the place is adequate if you don’t have very high expectations.

Beautiful views in a very quiet neighborhood

Waking up to that view of the mountain was unmatched! Definitely a great start to the day, gorgeous at night too. Know that this is a quiet neighborhood! The house was comfy, ac worked well, kitchen amenities were awesome (we cooked and bbq’d every meal). As mentioned in other reviews, there were a few bees and mosquitos and i’m guessing that is due to being close to the mountain- no wind! But we scooped a few bees from the pool, slapped on a little deet to the ankles at night and honestly, we were overall happy with this gorgeous spot.

Great Rebound

I was furious upon arrival. Said in description that cable tv was included. Owner had it canceled. Said people stream today. I am crazy about NCAAM and could not watch it. Manager Mike rallied the cause with owner and after hard arguing got it reinstalled. Happy camper. Great mgr. Absolutely love this home in all other respects. perfect location. Design eclectic and we all loved it. Pool. Will try to stay here again for longer in 26. Going to Hawaii next yr.

We just used the house for relatives to sleep at and we were at our own house the whole weekend. It was very lovely and would have been nice too.

Lovely but no jacuzzi if staying less than 2 days

Beautiful home! Whenever I travel my main focus is to find a place with a jacuzzi. I rarely get a chance to travel and relax. My life is super stressful and the jacuzzi was what I wanted. While the home was lovely I was crushed that I couldn’t use the jacuzzi. You have to stay a 3 night minimum to get to use it. The pictures advertised jacuzzi. I’ll have to take a second look but I feel that wasn’t made clear until I checked in. I was literally in tears. Thank you for having us.

Worth the time!

The house is absolutely wonderful. If you love La Quinta like we do, the house is located right at the Top of the Cove on the trail. Hiking is spectacular. The house is generously outfitted with plenty of kitchen equipment, towels, even pool towels. The rooms are lovely and the decor is tasteful and fun.

Excessive Bees Created Health Hazard

The property is lovely and as advertised. We booked this listing mainly because of the beautiful pool. However, as soon as we tried to use it, we were swarmed by bees. We contacted Vacasa right away, and we were told that they would handle it. Unfortunately, they never remediated the bee situation, and we were unable to use the pool. It basically ruined our vacation.

We were there for a girls weekend. Such a great location! Loved all having our own bed and baths! A quiet neighborhood with walking trails along the mountains! Too cold for a dip in the pool this time!

Great location!

The house was very comfortable. The gate/garage door was a bit tricky, but we made it work. Outdoor area was beautiful, and the house is sitting across from the mountains-beautiful!

Good location to walk

This house was comfortable, but not set up for 8 people. The sofa bed was so shot you could not sleep on it. The pool was really nice but we ask it to be heated for the 3 days we were there but only heated for one. The thermometer always read that the pool was at 82 but if you looked at it, it was broken.

Woke Up in Paradise

My family’s favorite home that we ever rented for a vacation! Seems impossible but even more stunning in person. The home has ample parking, great kitchen, super clean, nice furniture and beds and very quiet. Woke up each morning to paradise. We will return.

Beautiful property

We stayed here for 3 nights, the hot tub was great. The pool never heated up enough for us to use it. Other than that iy was a fabulous trip.
