There were many items that, unfortunately, did not match our ideas and thoughts of what a five start condo would or should look like. Although the condo smelled clean when first entering, we were discouraged when we noticed that no cleaning spray or sanitizing options were available under the kitchen sink, for us to use while staying at the condo. No spices or oil was there for seasoning and cooking, and minimal dishes and utensils were available, so make sure you bring everything. There was a large stain on the comforter in the master bedroom, and the AC Unit did not work. The ceiling fan in the master also seemed to be glued or stuck to stay on high, and we could not turn it down.
The sleeper sofa, that our children used, had crinkled up blankets, not sheets, that were folded up inside the mattress when opened, which we did not even know if they had been washed.
Along with cleanliness, I would invest in a trashcan that is larger and has a lid in the kitchen, so that the unit does not smell of food each time a family tries to cook, and therefore ensures proper hygiene so that odors and bacteria do not float in the air among your kitchen and living room space. We were also not impressed, that on our last night, at 7:30 pm, a knock at the door came for a delivery of the new AC Unit, and that once talking to the delivery man, he was given our private key code, to enter into the condo and deliver. That made us feel extremely uncomfortable, even though an email was sent out earlier in the day to us about a "package" being delivered, which we did not see, because we had been out on the beach.
The location to the pool and beach was a huge plus, but we would only rate this condo 3 stars in hopes that new upgrades would be made to better the longevity of this rental property and it's amenities. It may be that the owner of the property wants to maintain a "5 star review rating, and wants any constructive criticism in private notes" but this doesn't show well for other guests looking for a true 5 star rental.
