Family Weekend.

Plenty of room, so nice to have so many bathrooms. The game room is awesome. Kitchen is plenty big. So nice to have a large table, it was perfect for our group. It is a bit noisy, everything echos to the other side of the house. Your range may need to be addressed. When we used it, it took 3 times longer to get done than normal. But it was fine. The kitchen drawers were not very clean, a lot of crumbs ect. Also, your cookie sheets were dirty. We definitely had a great time, the beds were very comfortable! Thank you!

Annual ladies retreat

Our group of 8 ladies thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Swan Shores. The house was extremely clean and welcoming, nothing was amiss. The yard was freshly mowed and had periodic pickup of lake geese poo. The lake itself is lovely and very quiet. The local town of Pullman appears to have fallen on hard times and there is nothing of interest to see there; however, it was only 20 minutes to Saugatuck and South Haven for day trip adventures. We plan to come back next year!

Great place to stay.

The house was clean and has everything you need. The check in and check out process was easy. We loved waking up to the beautiful view. The owner was very responsive to any questions and/or concerns. I would definitely come back and stay at this property again. We had such a great time.

Wonderful stay for our family reunion

We had a wonderful week staying in Pullman! We loved kayaking and canoeing out on the lake and watching the sunset every night. The house and property were perfect for what we needed.

Get away with friends

Great property! Loved the layout of the home, living room at each end of the home made for a great place for teens and adults to hang out close by but enjoy space. Pool table was a hit! Lots of seating and good lighting. Beautiful view of the lake!

Family Christmas

We had a Christmas get together for extended family from 5 different states. It was perfect. The adults loved the space to sit and visit. The kids loved the game area. The view was beautiful. Definitely going to try to plan to come back.

pullman for the win

excellent property with many queen size beds for adults and rooms for privacy. really loved the game room and separate family room so everyone had space to do what they wanted but also room to gather as a whole group. highly recommend!

Great spot for our family gathering

We had a wonderful gathering with extended family to celebrate Thanksgiving. Several people enjoyed playing pool. There were enoigh beds a d bathrooms for everyone. The long dining room table allowed us all to eat together. We enjoyed playing board games and looking out at the lake. A great place for our time together.

Great family gathering place

We stayed here for a family gathering of 7 siblings and spouses. We had a great time. The building is designed for and perfect for 7 couples with 7 bedrooms, all with very close access to bathrooms. The house looks new inside and out, well equipped with quality appliances (even has 2 refrigerators which was a big plus), comfortable beds. Having the great room and rec room at opposite ends of the house is a benefit. Everything was spotlessly clean. Yard and small beach was nicely kept, no issues with goose droppings altho we did have to chase them away one morning. They didn't come back. Great view, especially at sunset. A very nice place to stay.

We could not have been more thrilled with our stay at this location and are already planning to return next year! We stayed here for a family trip with 8 adults and 6 kids between the ages of 3-9. The space was PERFECT! The home is clean, organized, and absolutely beautiful. We loved having the private beach in our backyard where our kids could splash around in shallow water and play in the sand. There was plenty of space in the home for us to enjoy meals together and run around and play. The game tables were great for both kids and adults! Beds were super comfy and we had everything we needed. The location is great, about 20 minutes from Saugatuck and South Haven. The fire pit at night was beautiful. This house is a gem- you won’t regret booking it!

Summer 2023

We had a good stay overall. We have been renting different properties for many years now, so we have a lot to compare this to. Every property has pros and cons. So here is the summary: Pros: House had plenty of space for everyone. Multiple bathrooms are a huge plus. The view is wonderful and the area is very quiet and relaxing. The lake is great. Fishing was ok. Game room was used daily and both kids and adults had a great time. Property Manager, Nicole, is very responsive and was there very quickly to address the issues we experienced. She is very friendly and helpful. Cons: The check in time is very late (5pm). When we arrived at 5, the house was not ready. Cleaning person was still there. We did not check in until 6, which did not leave much time to make dinner. The number of rules is overwhelming. While I understand the owner likely had a bad experience at some point, it was a big turn off. Maintenance on the house is lacking. The sliding door was very difficult to close all week. Even adults struggled with it. Eventually, the handle snapped off and we could not use it at all. The bigger problem was bugs. We took pictures and sent them to the owner. They were literally crawling up the wall and even got into some of our food. We had to throw quite a bit of food away. Nicole did come right away and put some poison down to kill them, but a better maintenance program is needed. Several beds were very uncomfortable and noisy. Pillows are super flat

Great property for families/larger groups

Our party of 7 stayed here and it was a perfect base for our trip. We loved the games room and it was well used. The property was very clean and well equipped. The location on the lake was beautiful - we’d love to come back and fully utilize the outdoor space when the weather is warmer.

Winter Get Away

The house accommodated 16 of us comfortably. The house was very clean, and the game room was enjoyed by my grandchildren. We have been family vacationing for 17 years. We had never seen a kitchen so well stocked! We loved the great room, and the large table accommodated us all. Our family loves winter activities. Skiing at Bittersweet, and next day tubing at Timberridge. Both places were only 30 min. from PullMan. We will definitely come back again.

Good for families

We stayed at this property last year, so this was our second time here. The house has the number of bedrooms and bathrooms we need and a good set-up for our large, extended family. The kids love the long hallway! There are plenty of dishes and even kid dishes, and they supply trash bags and some cleaning supplies. Unfortunately, we were not able to use one of the bathrooms due to a plumbing issue. The property manager was notified and someone came to take a look (which was appreciated), but we were told that although they knew about it, the place had been pretty consistently rented and they hadn't had a chance to get the plumber in, but he was coming after our stay. We were told there wasn't anything they could do right then but to close the door and turn on the fan. It would have been nice if they had offered us a small refund since we couldn't stand to use that bathroom due to the smell and it also stunk up the front of the house, but we were mostly in the back of the house anyway. The beds are pretty hard, but everything was clean and there were plenty of blankets. Bring your own can-opener if you need one. That safety one kicked our butt! Overall, nice place and the property manager was responsive.

Great property

This rental made our winter vacation easy and enjoyable. The snow was cleared on the parking area and front walk. It was a perfect place. We all had our own bedroom and bathroom. The washer and dryer was so handy to dry clothes after playing outside in the snow. The kitchen was well equipped for all our needs. It was a home away from home. Infinitely better than a hotel room and with 5 of us we would have had to rent two hotel rooms. The cost per night was comparable to the cost of two hotel rooms and with all the amenities this property provided, so much better than a hotel. Would definitely recommend this property for your vaction.

Family Holiday

We had a great holiday stay with family! The floor plan of the home was perfect for our large group, the kids were able to play out back in the snow, and we had a wonderful fire! We were able to get in a few walks around the lake as well! It would be a great home for a summer stay too;)!!!

Rules are too much!

This property was fine with a couple of exceptions: 1) the rules were onerous - no check-in until 5 pm (which is after dark in western Michigan) unless you pay $50 per hour for earlier time, and penalty fees would apply with any late check-outs ($25 per 15-minute increments). I have never encountered anything like this before and we have rented plenty of places! The house was very large and clean, but the common areas had no soft surfaces or drapes of any kind, and as a result, the noise level was very problematic. It was difficult to carry on a conversation when many were present in this large room. Host was very responsive with all of my communications.

I just love being near the water, so any chance I get to be near a lake is a perfect opportunity for me to relax and unwind. We even designed our outdoor spaces to provide maximum opportunities for gathering together to enjoy good meals and good conversation.
