Great Vacation

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Great location and access to a boat was the icing on the cake as there are lots of areas to explore. Dean was available the entire time to answer questions etc. we will definitely be back!!

Perfect for active people!

Captain's Quarters is perfectly located for those who love to bike, fish, swim, kayak, boat, sun and eat. Apartment is very airy and cheerful, and the neighbors are great.

Wonderful!

This location was perfect! There are so many things within walking distance. It was fun to walk the causeway in the morning and at night to watch the sun set. Dean was very helpful and very prompt to answer questions. Having the boat to use was awesome!!!

Nous avons eu le nom de l’endroit par l’entremise d’amis. Nous n’avons pas été déçu. Nous avons annulé notre réservation de véhicules car tout est proche. On s’est déplacé en vélo, à pied, en bateau, en UBER et en Jolley Trolly. Nous avons adoré l’endroit. Nous y retournerons.

A “water lover’s” dream

We loved our stay at the Captains Quarters in Dunedin, Fl. Our hosts, Dean and Susie, were always available to answer any questions. Besides the boat, they had Kayaks and stand-up boards available for use. The location was ideal. You could easily walk to a number of nearby restaurants and stores. The unit is also located at the beginning of the Dunedin Causeway which leads you to Honeymoon Island - a Florida State Park that is one of the finest in the state. They also provide a free pass to the park. We enjoyed sitting on the patio in the back of the unit to relax and watch the dolphins swim by. We highly recommend this vacation spot.

Location Location Location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was very clean & the owners are readily available for any questions or help. We LOVED having the boat to explore the islands. Our favorite was Honeymoon Island. The town is small, but everything you need is close by and there is very little traffic. The only thing I would recommend is bringing your own beach towels. This location was the most beautiful part of Florida we have ever visited. It exceeded our expectations. I would 100% recommend this condo to anyone. Thanks!

Relaxing, quiet getaway

Although we were in the area for a softball tournament and kept very busy with that, there was more than enough to do at Captains Quarters. Fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, riding bikes, and boating to name a few. While fishing on the dock a pelican came by for a friendly visit waiting on us to catch a fish and two dolphins came up right next to the dock! There are passes to Honeymoon Island and that was our favorite beach to visit while there. We'll never forget our stay or the exceptional hospitality of the owners. We would definitely go back!

Loved it!

We loved our stay here! A great spot to relax and enjoy all the canal has to offer: fishing, paddle boarding, dolphin watching, and soaking up the sunshine! Great place with hosts who care about your stay!

Love, Love, Love!

We booked the property because of the free boat rental and use of fishing gear. Unfortunately due to weather, we didnt het to use any of it. Despite that, we had an amazing time! Within driving distance to everything! I have booked many VRBO's and this one was the best!

Exceptional!

Everything about our experience during our 2 week stay here can be summarized as EXCEPTIONAL! (And we travel a lot around the world). We flew in so did not have a car, and took an Uber from/to the Tampa airport. We are a 5 ppl family, all 18+ so were a bit worried if would lack the car access. With all the bikes, kayaks, paddle board and the MOTOR BOAT available at Dean’s rental, there was no need for a car. Walking distance to Publix, to the Causeway to walk to Honeymoon island with abundance of beach, nature trails etc, bike ride to the Pinallas trail and downtown of Dunedin, boat rides to nearby islands for day trips on the beach and can we just mention epic encounters with dolphins right from our back porch and the dock or a foot away while in a kayak! All this plus the most friendly and accommodating hosts we have ever met !!! Thank You Dean, Suzie and Samson! We hope to be back xoxo or have you over : )

We had a wonderful time. Great views. Great spots to relax. Plenty to do. Helpful, polite, available owners. Many Dolphin sightings daily. Kayaks, bikes, boats, beaches, trails, quaint downtown. Everything need is there. We loved it here very much.

Great weekend

Property was great, pictures on VRBO were accurate. Very close to the Honeymoon island beach. Great food and shopping in downtown Dunedin.

Amazing experience!

Dean and Susie are the best! They have everything you could need and are so nice! The unit was clean, well furnished and upgraded. The area is close to everything including the state park and downtown Dunedin. We are already looking for next summer dates!

Much needed vacay!

We had the best time, the kids were never bored. It's in a perfect location to everything. Too many extras to name. Dean and Susie were amazing hosts! Can't wait to come back next year.

Dunedin Vacation

This is a great place to stay while visiting Dunedin! Everything is in perfect working order and it’s so relaxing to sit outside by the water. Everything you need is there: boats, kyacks, bikes and bbq grill!

Restful and quiet time

Great time to kick back and relax... enjoyed biking and boating thanks to the owners. What a beautiful 45 mile bike trail close by. We loved boating to the little islands too! I would recommend adults or only older children as the water is close to the patio.

We were very happy with our 3 week stay at Captain's Quarters. The owners and neighbors were friendly, the location couldn't be better, our unit was cozy, clean, comfortable, and the extras were outstanding. We would love to return! We were very unhappy with VRBO when we had to change our reservation from 5 weeks to 3 weeks, 2 months before our stay, and were charged the exact same total price. We were unable to reach VRBO to discuss this problem. No more VRBO for us!

Relaxing waterfront/super location

Captain's Quarters was a perfect stay on the water close to Dunedin Causeway, Honeymoon Island State Park, Caladesi Island State Park and Dunedin! We rode bikes daily to the state park and into Dunedin to enjoy the trail, shopping, breweries, and dining! Perfect location and did not need a car! We had rides to and from airport, then walking and biking to everything else! Bikes were provided and much appreciated! Hosts checked in and made us feel at home! Thanks for an amazing stay!!

Memorable FL Family Vacation

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in Dunedin. The unit was exactly as described, and the owner was incredibly accommodating. If you enjoy a very relaxing laid-back atmosphere, this place is for you! It was very quiet, and we enjoyed all of the extra amenities included. Since our rental car was cancelled, everything we needed was within walking distance; restaurants, beaches, grocery stores, etc. We definitely took advantage of the boat and bikes on the property to move about. We met some great people on this vacation and would love to visit again!

Easy stay condo with great hosts!

We enjoyed 2 weeks with a great view on the water of birds and dolphins! Dean and Suzi are the Best! Watching the sun come up with your coffee outside each morning was wonderful! Dean is always cleaning, adding new bikes to ride, or just checking in to make sure everything is in good shape. Give Sampson a hug from us!
