Walking distance to everything in town. Property was clean and well maintained.

Lack of heat

Room was cold. There is a gas fireplace in room (on of the reasons we booked the room) but a sign saying it was turned off. When we asked the manager he said there was a crack in the chimney so could not use it. The heat source was a unit installed above the window. It would heat to 64 and then shut off no matter what it was set at. We contacted manager and he brought over a portable heater which would get the room up to 64. He was very rude and left in a huff slamming the door. Never checked back again.

Pretty good

Big comfy bed in main room. Good TV. Small microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Be sure to bring cups, knife, spoon, bowls etc. the only thing provided was a corkscrew and coffee packets. Bathroom is big, shower is small, jacuzzi tub is fairly big. This house (ships quarters) has four units. We stayed on the ground floor. It was not too noisy inside or out. There are other locations one block closer to the lake that have porches that face the lake that I wish we would have chosen instead. But, all in all, it was an ok value.

One night stay

Great location, easy to walk to town. Quiet and safe. I have bikes and scooter on my car parked outside and not one worry! Great spot!

Great people, great shops, great restaurants, great fishing guides, great boat tours of the Apostle Islands and light houses, great kayaking, great cross country skiing and down hill skiing (just 3.5 miles south of Bayfield) great dog sledding, great concerts at the Big Top great golfing!
Come visit Bayfield, Wisconsin and experience what we enjoy daily!

Quiet but just 100 feet from restaurants, shops, and only 3 blocks up from the main harbor dock, Madeline Island Ferry, Apostle Islands Cruise Ships, Sailing Charters, Kayak Shops, parks, museums, walking trails and two parks! The Bayfield boat launch with 3 day free parking (With payment of launch) is just 3 blocks south of "At Ships Quarters". Just one block south is world famous "Maggies Restaurant". Clean, comfortable, and well appointed! Your going to love "Jennie E"
