A small rustic A-frame cabin tucked away in the woods with a picturesque view of a spring-fed creek just steps from the porch. The creek eventually flows into Lake Superior, located just a mile downstream. The cabin is secluded and can be accessed via a quarter-mile hike from the trailhead. Complete with a wood stove and solar-powered lights. An off-grid dream! Private porta potty nearby. Bring your own sleeping bag.

My partner and I spent a night here over the summer with our dog, and it was PERFECT for a day trip to Madeline Island. It's quiet and serene without being completely out of the way, and the property itself was clearly well-loved and maintained by the hosts. The only note we have was that the trail to/from the parking lot to the cabin was a bit more rugged than expected, but that just meant we ended up carrying the dog (she's a city girl, not much of a hiker) and had to take a couple of trips back and forth from the car. All in all, we would absolutely visit again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin itself is exactly as shown. The surroundings were beautiful (creek in the front of the cabin was a happy surprise)The shower was very relaxing, but a little far from the cabin. The space itself is less than 10 minutes to town for dinner/drinks.

Nice little spot close to Bayfield. I would stay again. A little new to the online/app/check in process, but had plenty details for the process about the property.

Such a peaceful stay with sounds of a babbling Brook!

Loved the peaceful and quiet stay with a short hike to the cute and cozy A frame cabin right next to a babbling brook. Enjoyed the adarondeck chairs facing the water and the magnetic screen to the cabin worked awesome, not a single mosquito in the cabin! Great books and games for a stormy night.

This little cabin was in the top favorites of places I've ever stayed while traveling. It was perfect for 2 adults and a dog. It was close enough to town but felt miles away. Nothing is more peaceful than falling asleep listening to the creek flow and crackling of a fire. 10/10 would stay here again!

Cute little spot!

Such a fun little place you have! It is tricky to find your way to the cabin at night, but we managed and enjoyed our stay. We forgot to bring extra blankets but we were fine with what was there. Beautiful quiet spot in the woods and waking up in the cozy cabin was fun!

The perfect weekend getaway

This little A-frame was the perfect landing spot for our weekend trip to Bayfield. Very cozy and very quiet. This beats sleeping on the ground in a tent any time!!

Perfect Northland Getaway

As advertised

I came in the late winter to do some hiking in the area and could not have asked for a better place to stay for the night. The creek was incredibly peaceful and the stars put on a show at night. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

PURE SERENITY

We absolutely loved that we were close to town but when we walked back to the little A-frame cabin we felt a million miles away from civilization. The crackle of the wood burning stove & the sound of the running water of the creek right out the front door was beyond relaxing!

Peaceful Spot in the Woods

Perfect Glamping

This is exactly what I was looking for on a cold day. Have a partner that doesn't want to necessarily winter camp?? The stove was perfect to keep us cozy all night. The sound of the creek washed our worries away. Cheers!

Highly recommend

Our stay at the anchor was wonderful. It was a little wilderness oasis just a few miles from town. The Anchor itself was as described and the bed was comfortable! They provided a fan which was helpful during the warm evenings we were there. The grounds were clean and the path was easily identifiable to get back to The Anchor. There are two other glamping sites that seemed equally as clean and relaxing! The shower tree was also clean and it was such a relaxing touch. Overall we would highly recommend and can’t wait to return someday!

Amazing place

We stayed at the Anchor site and it was everything we were looking for. A beautiful a-frame cabin nestled in the middle of the woods right by a creek. The path to the cabin was pretty steep, but a very short walk. The cabin was very close to many attractions. Love every second and hope to come back next year!

So relaxing and clean!

Such a cool little place. It was so nice to sit on the porch and just be. We took off pretty early for our next destination and did not stop at the shower tree but looked amazing! Nice work with all that has been done so far. The property really shows a great effort was made to ensure an enjoyable stay. Will return someday. Thank you!

The Clarks moved to Bayfield, WI in 2019 from Orcas Island, WA and have since become actively involved in the community. In 2021, Abe started True North Sailing Charters with his brother Josh, and in 2022, Kate opened Penny Print Studio. Both businesses cater to the tourism market and local residents of all ages. At Sailor Springs, we hope to create a peaceful place where guests can spend the night in a unique and memorable way that adds to their Lake Superior adventure! By staying with us you are directly supporting our family and that goal.

この宿泊施設の特徴

Sailor Springs is a small three-site campground located just two miles outside of the picturesque tourist town of Bayfield, WI. 2023 will be our first year of operation and we’re excited to host campers on the property and provide a unique camping experience. The campground is spread out over 5 acres of forest on Bresette Hill Road. After parking at the trailhead, you’ll gather your bags and hike into your glamping site. The trail winds through the woods, leading you first to a valley where the seasonal Clark Creek runs through in the spring. The first two campsites are on the other side of this valley. The trail can be steep in spots and requires a moderate level of fitness and mobility to reach the secluded campsites. The third site is a bit farther into the forest, the little A-frame cabin, Anchor sits on the edge of the spring-fed Brickyard Creek that flows year-round.
