The Host, Brian, communicates well and is very responsive to questions! This property is as pictured and very clean. (Brian, your cleaning crew does a phenomenal job! This has to be one of the cleanest properties we have rented.) We will definitely stay here again. It gets high ratings from us across the board. There are views of the beach, which is just steps from this unit, right from the condo! And, it was wonderful to sit on the covered/screened deck to enjoy ocean breezes, and the sound of the surf.
This unit is well appointed and tastefully decorated, not cluttered, which lends itself to a serene environment. Not to be overlooked, the bed was very comfortable. We gave this property 5/5 stars!!
Hints:
1. This unit has a Kureig coffee maker (so bring/buy K-cups).
2. Huey's (the links club restaurant/bar) is just a VERY short stroll - literally - so a car isn't necessarily needed. Huey's is the nearest public dining option from the condo. 3. I noticed someone in another review mentioned the key code mechanism didn't work. It works just fine - just be sure to NOT turn what looks like a deadbolt above the inside door handle. There is a small sign above that, which is very faded, cautioning you to leave this alone and in the horizontal position. (There is a higher/obvious swing arm lock on the door for added security.)
4. There is no crockpot at the unit, so plan to bring your own if you want to use that.
5. Be camera ready! On this trip, I snapped photos of a dolphin just 20' from shore, during dawn/high tide. We saw deer meander across the road. And, the Pelican Shore Patrol regularly flies right by the condo. Don't forget to grab sunrise shots off the beach! These are all amazing photo opportunities, and really just a few among many.
6. Consider bringing binoculars. There is a LARGE and long sandbar which runs parallel to the beach, probably a football field away, and binoculars will bring that distant "second surf" into better view, to see some (sometimes very dramatic) crashing waves out there. The binoculars are also fun for birdwatching and ship viewing from the shore.
