We loved our stay. Susan and the team - chef Roberto, Laura - were all lovely and super helpful. Food was really good. The house itself is in a beautiful secluded location in the forest, great pool, still really close to all Manuel Antonio has to offer.

Fishing trip

Great place. Our concierge Susan, scheduled us arraigned transportation from SJO. She booked us Chef Renzo (Outstanding) for our stay and helped with in town information. Everything was perfect. We caught many fish as well !

Unreal vacation and the home was the best part! Susan and staff are amazing, Helping us to plan everything from taxis to fishing. Their communication was unmatched from the day we booked the trip until we left for home. Trust the process they suggest is my advice. We had 2 chefs all week and the food was delicious. The home and the entire staff are first class for sure. We will be back!

This was our second family vacation to Costa Rica and our second VRBO rental.We were 100% satisfied with everything: pre-vacation communications with Susan (host), transportation arrangements, excursion arrangements, check-in, cleanliness of property, property accuracy, chef arrangements, and housekeeping services, check-out, etc.Susan (host) was fantastic!!!The highlight of our visit was the animal life. We had two sloths within 25 feet of the property, and we were visited by a dozen monkeys on two occasions.

Fabulous home in the jungle!!

Casa Bamboo was a magnificent place to stay. We were there for 11 nights and the home was clean and comfortable. The housekeeping service was excellent and we saw more wildlife from our lovely spot in the jungle than we did from anywhere else we visited. A sloth was our companion for a couple of days and white faced monkeys came around too. I most highly recommend Casa Bamboo for a stay in Costa Rica!!!

This was a wonderful property, well set up for a large group. The pool and outdoor space were fantastic for watching monkeys and wildlife. I recommend this property.

Family Vacation

Our first trip to Costa Rica…we couldn’t have had a better experience. Our family of eight fit perfectly at Casa Bambu. Our host Susan, housekeeper Laura, and chef Renzo made us feel like royalty. Susan’s excursion recommendations were spot on…however our best memories will be the time spent at the house, especially at the dinner table after our meals together.

Beautiful and wonderful for families!!

The property is in a perfect location and was absolutely beautiful. It was very clean, roomy, and well stocked, and had beautiful trees and nature all around. We were greeted with monkeys the first night! Susan was wonderful to work with and made our check in, zip lining, and chef a breeze to setup. I HIGHLY recommend Renzo the chef, the food was amazing!

Excellent Stay

So much positive in one place. Tucked away in the rain forest, but so close to everything, The location is perfect! There were seven of us and we never felt on top of each other. We loved the open concept of the living areas and balcony. We saw several monkeys, sloths, and macaws. Just a perfect place to stay in this area.

Peaceful property full of wildlife

Our entire group was very happy with the property. Nice location. Very quiet, peaceful area with lots of wildlife and nature, yet very close to restaurants, convenience stores, bus line, etc. We saw monkeys, sloths, scarlet macaws, toucans and more right from the property. More than what we saw at Manuel Antonio national park. Loved the pool and the outdoor living area. Would definitely stay here again next time we visit.

Beautiful and comfortable

Our family of ten thoroughly enjoyed our nine day stay at Casa Bamboo in Manuel Antonio. Concierge’s attention was impeccable. The option of the personal chef was a luxurious asset and took the stress out of shopping, cooking, and cleaning for a large family. The grounds were gorgeous and exciting, never knowing when a troop of monkeys would pass through. Five stars, for sure!

Amazing Stay at Casa Bamboo

We had a wonderful experience. Scott was great to work with and the concierge Susan was incredibly helpful. We also had chef Renzo cook for us three nights and it was absolutely delicious. The home is beautiful and clean. We loved seeing the monkeys in the mornings and at dusk, along with the few toucans we saw in the trees. The beach is just a short drive along with whatever you need from the town. Don’t hesitate to book this home. Just do it!

Amazing Jungle Paradise

The place was exactly as pictured, the concierge was very responsive and everything was lovely. There was the prettiest blue butterfly that would circle the property every morning between 730-8am. It was a steep hike up to the main roads but once there the town was very walkable. We felt very safe and well cared for. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful experience. Most taxi rides were ~10 minutes to nice restaurants or the beach. Our group had an amazing time!

Comfortable Jungle Paradise

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Bamboo. Two families with young kids were comfortable with room to spare. Susan’s help as in-country concierge was invaluable! Traveling in Central America can be challenging but she made sure everything was handled easily. Daily housekeeping with laundry made packing up suitcases easy. Important to note that the only staircase between the 2 floors is exterior and goes by the pool.

Place is wonderful, but it’s the staff that make this place special!

We loved the property. It looks just like the pictures. We saw toucans, sloths, howler monkeys, and white-faced monkeys while there. What really makes this place stand out was the amazing staff! First is the concierge, Susan. She answered every question we had, and there were a lot, in the months prior to our stay. She booked, cancelled when we changed our minds, and rebooked all of our excursions. She was a friendly face that met us upon arrival and got up really early to see us off at checkout. The maid was efficient and always smiling. Chef Renzo cooked the best meals and was so much fun. He accommodated every request and happily answered questions. Lastly, even the property owner, Scott, also reached out to us to share restaurant recommendations. Stay here, you won’t regret it!!!

Amazing House

We had 7 adults and 1 teenager at the house and we all loved it. Plenty of space for all of us. The backyard was our favorite. We saw monkeys, a sloth, iguanas and macaws all while sitting in the pool. Susan was wonderful to work with. She answered all of my questions prior to and during our trip. She planned all of our excursions and transportation. She was a huge help. Laura, the housekeeper was amazing. She kept the house spotless and did all of our laundry. We weren't expecting that but she spoiled us. The chef, Roberto cooked for us 2 nights. What a treat. Him and his assistant, Jefferson were so nice and talented. I can't say enough good things about this rental. The house is close to town. There is a steep road to go up from the house to get to town. It didn't effect our trip. Some of us walked it and some didn't. All of our excursions came with transportation. We called a taxi if there was anywhere else we wanted to go.

First time visitors, Casa Bamboo gave us remarkable memories.

Our family has never been to Costa Rica , we decided to try anew location this year and we are so happy we did . If you are thinking of Costa Rica , Casa Bamboo is the place to stay , very highly recommended by our family . The house is perfect, better than the pictures show . A perfect location for activities and wildlife in the yard . We had a beautiful blue butterfly come in every morning, we also saw squirrel monkeys, white face monkeys , Macaws and Toucans , all were very beautiful. Susan made the trip a breeze . She helped with our planning and offered suggestions based on our families interests. Everything was perfect including the transportation to and from the activities, that was such a treat as we probably couldn’t have found some of the places . Great service thank you!!! We all want to thank her for making our trip such a memorable vacation, couldn’t have done it without her !!! Another special treat was our maid Laure, never had this at any of our previous VRBO locations. She was such a hard worker, always smiling and she even did our laundry . What a treat to come back to Casa Bamboo after a day of activities and the house is spotless and your laundry is all done . Just WOW!! We had chef Renzo come and cook 3 dinners for us , he is amazing , the food was delicious and another special treat to have him cook for us . He is a great cook , . Highly recommended. Thanks Costa Rica , Pura Vida till next time .

Perfect Retreat + Wildlife Galore

10/10. Casa Bambu was everything we needed. My parents, myself, and sister and brother in law and their two kids (8 and 4) stayed in Feb 2024. Casa Bambu felt private and right in the middle of the jungle, while also being just a 2 min drive from restaurants, bars, the beach, etc. The gate and Guard house at the top of our drive made us feel at ease about safety with kids. The separation of the top and bottom floors was great for the family with kids in our group, but it was easy to cohabitate as well! We found ourselves gathering on the top floor open air balcony a lot! Having AC in the bedrooms and most of the bathrooms was a life saver. Beds were very comfortable. Ample storage space in all of the bedrooms. House was very clean, and Laura the housekeeper was phenomenal. With kids, sandy feet and wet pool clothes, Laura came in clutch every day and made the house feel spotless and refreshed. It was also great to have the option of laundry being done as needed! Outside, the pool area was so nice. Ample seating between loungers, table with umbrella, and the built in benches along the pool area. Pool was clean and refreshing temperature. Wildlife Report: As a photographer I was thrilled at the amount of up close wildlife we saw everyday, including all of types of monkeys every day, a sloth in the tree near the pool, toucans, macaws, hummingbirds, blue morpho butterflies, Agouti, geckos, etc. Susan the concierge was also lovely and helpful! We will be back with more friends!

Environnement exceptionnel

Très bel environnement, différents types d'oiseaux et singes observés, dans les arbres environnants. Près des épiceries, plages et activités. Une employée faisant notre ménage et lavage, tous les jours, très apprécié. L’eau de la piscine était brouillée à notre arrivée, nous l’avons signalé et des employés sont venus régler le problème dés le lendemain. Notre concierge, Susan, répondait rapidement à nos besoins / demandes. Petites suggestions, d’ajouter des douches téléphones et crochets dans les salles de bain, serait pratiques. Dans l’ensemble tout était tel que décrit, séjour très agréable et apprécié. Merci à Susan, Laura et Scott.

Awesome stay at Casa Bamboo

We were thrilled with our stay at this beautiful home in Manuel Antonio. The location was perfect to get to stores, restaurants and the beach. The house was clean, comfortable and provided us entaintment from monkeys who would visit us daily. The pool was wonderful after a hot day at the beach. We hired the private chef for a breakfast and two dinners who provided us with magnificent meals in the comfort of our rental. Chef is highly recommended! Susan the Concierge was always quick to answer our questions and Laura the maid kept our clothes and home clean every day. We felt extremely fortunate to have found this home and we hope to return. Pura Vida!

Incredible Stay for Family of Seven

It’s hard to describe how incredible this property is. Right when we met Susan for check-in at the property, she pointed out a sloth hanging out in the tree over the pool! The variety of wildlife here was as equally amazing as the property itself. We saw howler and white-faced monkeys just about every day, scarlet macaws, toucans, sloths, morpho butterflies, raccoons, and several other animals. The property was very spacious and well equipped. Laura provided a wonderful laundry service each day, as well as a general clean-up of the kitchens, baths, and bedrooms. Susan, the concierge, was a wonderfully helpful source of local advice and information. Overall, we were very very pleased with the accommodations, property, and level of friendliness and service provided. We would recommend this property to anyone!

Fantastic extended family stay

Casa Bamboo was all we could have hoped for in our stay in Manuel Antonio. Our extended family of 7 (including a 9 month old) enjoyed the house, the great pool and the forested area behind it. We saw howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, toucans, iguanas, and macaws right at the house. Also saw a sloth a few times on the walk up the driveway. Felt like paradise. Susan was helpful with advice and trips and Chef Renzo and Roberto treated us to a couple great dinners at the house - so relaxing and yummy! We were glad we decided to forego renting a car and shuttled to the house from SJO. Lots of hills, but it is easy to get around without a car and all tours will pick you up at the house. Couldn't have asked for a better experience for our family. True Pura Vida!!
