In town to meet new grandson

The property was just what we needed for the week. The location was perfect, close to what we needed. Very walkable.

Smelled great and was nice and relaxin. Enjoyed the neighborhood and neighbors were friendly.

The bed wasn’t very sturdy and the oven didn’t seem to work. Had a great stay over all.

The bed frame has been replaced with an antique sleigh bed. The mattress has been replaced with a new mattress. 8-1-19

Comfortable

Clean property that is in close proximity to downtown Atlanta. Safe neighborhood and very quiet.

Unable to check in when promised

Although the check in time was 3 pm, the place was not cleaned and available until 9 pm. Also the dryer didn’t work so we were stuck with wet clothes that we couldn’t dry. No response from host about the dryer. We were unable to control the indoor temperature. The week started out chilly but ended up hot. We had to contact the host to make any temperature change.

We're sorry to hear that you feel you didn't have a good experience. The place was cleaned for your stay and we did respond regarding the dryer, however, we were unable to make the repair until after your departure. We did note in our rules that all guests can have access to control the temperature for an additional $10 a night. We decided to forego the charge and changed the temperature for you and all was well. A note to all reading this review: we encourage that you read the house rules of any short term rental that you stay in before making the final decision to book. A message to the host is encouraged to address any dealbreakers in the rules beforehand.

Great location for access to the Beltline

This duplex is one half of a 99-year-old bungalow in a great neighborhood. The interior is freshly painted and the bathroom and kitchen have been updated, but the unit still smells old. The unit is very roomy. Wi-Fi is good enough and there is space to park vehicles off of the street, which is a real plus. There is a front porch, but it is shared with the other half of the duplex and that side is fairly junky. We were not tempted to sit on the porch for that reason. We never heard any sounds from the other half. There is a dishwasher and washer/dryer, but we didn't use them. The shower was good. Other than a text with the code for entry and check-in time, we did not receive any other check-in or check-out instructions. We contacted Barbara Ann, the property manager, with some concerns and she rectified them and was very receptive to our concerns. She indicated that she is new to managing this property, so I expect future reviews will be more positive. If I were to return here, I would consider bringing my own towels, as I questioned the cleanliness of the dark blue towels provided with the property.

Very disappointing during a pandemic

This property was very unsafe and unhealthy during a pandemic. The code to enter the unit did not work. There were dirty towels in the washing machine. The teflon pan was completely scratched up and unsafe. The floors were sticky and there was hair in the bathtub. The shower head does not stay on the holder. The front porch was untidy and unwelcoming. I could go on with other issues, but most importantly, this unit was very unhealthy and very unsafe during a pandemic. I do not recommend staying here.

I am Sorry to hear you had less than great experience at this property. We do spray for the virus after every guest so the property is virus free. We are constantly looking to upgrade our cleaning staff and will continue to improve the standards of cleanliness. Safety is very important to us also. In the comment there were no mention of the safety issues we should address.

Right size for one or two people

I chose this place because it is ground level and had a porch. It is just the right size for one or two people.

Russ Hiner is an expert in real estate, investing, raising capital, motivational speaking, mentoring, and coaching. For the last 30 years, he has worked successfully to reach his personal goals and to help others reach theirs.

Russ started by working as a medical technologist in a hospital and manufacturing setting. One of his early life-changing experiences was working for a major Fortune 500 company where his life was set—or so he thought! However, one year later, the company closed his department, and Russ lost his job. From this, he learned a valuable life lesson: he needed to work for himself, so he started his entrepreneurial adventure—and it has not stopped growing. Russ has become and remains a life-learner who is goal and value-driven.

Russ started by working the exit strategy called “buy & sell.” Through his first lessons, Russ learned the value of self-assessment and developed into a business person who combines systems and people that allow people to work as a team. Because of his philosophy, he was able to build a business system that works all the time—in any economic condition. Russ is passionate about what he does. Over the years, he has furthered his education and worked with mentors and other experts in the field. Keeping a great sense of humor has also helped!

In 2004, Russ wanted to move into the B Quadrant that expert Robert Kiyosaki writes about in his books, so he started a manufacturing business: Media Save, Inc. In 2006, he started an investment company. Russ’s business is now focused on rentals, wholesale real estate transactions, and note buying. Note buying allows him to experience property control and acquisition from a new perspective.
