Great Property! Great Vacation!

We had a great time here. The condo was immaculate and the property was very quiet in general. We spent a lot of hours just relaxing on the patio, watching the surf in the morning and the sunset in the evenings. I also loved the location of the property. It’s right in the middle of probably 2 miles of gorgeous, clean beach, but somehow it was never busy. We had the beach all to ourselves pretty much every time we wanted to get some ocean time. I really can’t say enough good things about the condo. Our family had a fantastic time. Thank you!

Convenient to shopping, ocean is right outside your door. Short Drive to Lahaina, airport, upcountry. Best shave ice & bakery as well as a farmers market right across the street. Kihea Canoe Club just a few steps down the beach-watch them practice every morning, or try your hand at paddling with them. Been here several times, hope to come again.

Great Island Home Base

We walked in and went straight to the Lanai. Opened the doors and let ocean breeze welcome us to paradise. Amazing quaimt property with emaculate landscaping on the beach. Very clean unit with lots of space with the loft/2nd bathroom above the living area that made it so spacious. We grilled three times and each day it looked as if a brand new grill was dropped I'm it was so clean. The unit had everything we needed to wake up, put together some breakfast, and head out to explore and play. The North Kihei location was so convenient to explore in all directions without wasting the.i. the car. Thank You for the amazing accomodations

Patrick was verbally abusive and threatening toward myself (81 years old) and my two young nieces. He lacks reason and logic. He acts like he is a member of law enforcement. He is a walking liability to your organization. Someone is going to sue you guys one day because of him.

Kitchen is new with most items for cooking. Has tv in both bedrooms. Winter Kona storms reduces the beach and windy most days - but no heavy rains while we were there. Barbecued meals and enjoyed dinners at Paia Fish, Nalu's, Three's bar and grill, SeaHouse, Gazebo, Grandmas Coffee House & Maui Brewing. Sugar Beach Bakery & Ululani's shave ice across the street were very popular too. Did sunrise at Haleakala, toured IAO monument, LaPerouse Bay, and other hike/trails. Loved our stay with family. Memories!!!!

Our unit could have had more towels and a few more necessities. I don’t want to do laundry on vacation but had to do a load of towels. Extra cost. Plus the unit was suppose to have laundry detergent and it did not. So more expense for me to buy Also it would be nice to have had four beach chairs. Not just two. A 11:00 check out would be nice compared to 10:00. It was our second stay in this resort. Love the scenery The grounds are kept so nice.

We were told this was totally normal we were not happy that there were so many ants in this house all over the bathroom all over the bedroom upstairs all over the front patio consistently throughout our whole stay. Does not seem normal to me I have been to maui 29 times and never had this problem consistently like this a little bit here and there like normal but this was not normal to me . Thank God the management staff host was amazing and very attentive and helpful

What happened to Maalaea Surf?

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It is hard to criticize a place we have loved for 35 years, yet it is also inappropriate to gloss over the overall decline we have witnessed in the last several years. While location trumps all, and Maalaea possesses the best of the best outside (including grounds maintenance) age and neglect are now pretty obvious, as is the Rental Association's determination to turn the place into an East German re-education center. Too many rules on too many subjects with the subtlety of a sledgehammer make the place seem unfriendly and cold. The units are not uniformly maintained, and so their quality and finish are totally at the hands of individual owners, and many of whom are content to receive high rental rates while allowing their units to deteriorate. E6 is in the middle of the pack, decedent but not by any means a luxury accommodation, even with luxury rates. I don't know what the solution is, but my guess is that until the Rental Association takes a hard look into its mirror, the slow erosion of service and ambience that once was a hallmark of Maalaea will fade into memory.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at a few units at Ma'alaea Surf, and they are all wonderful. E6-2 is great if you need two bedrooms. The furnishings and carpet in the unit are nice and new, and the view from the deck is fantastic.
