The guesthouse is charming and peaceful, the views and oak trees are lovely, and the furniture comfortable. Before booking, I would inquire whether some needed repairs have been made. The sliding door to the bathroom is jammed, resulting in lack of privacy. The bedside lamps both have broken switches, so the only operable switch is by the door. There is no light over or near the dining table. If you intend to cook, you will need to bring your own cooking equipment, as only one tiny saucepan and a scratched Teflon skillet are provided. The small refrigerator has only a tiny freezer compartment. There is a nice two-burner cooktop, a small microwave, but no oven at all. The "toaster oven" is really a slot toaster with a compartment just big enough for a couple of bagels or croissants. The coffee maker is only 2 cups. There are only a few dishes and no serving bowls. The wifi works great and cell phone reception is good. The TV is small, the CD player doesn't work, and the "music library" consists of 7 CDs. There is no provision for playing DVDs.
The hosts were pleasant people to deal with. I feel confident that they will address these concerns.
