Lovely place but.....

The area is stunning; the property has one door leading out to the square, the other takes you out to the riverbank. It really is stunning. The actual garden of the property is lovely with mature trees providing shade and colour. The swimming pool is very nice and a good size for families. However! Although advertised as heated, the pool is not! The equipment is there but the readout on the digital controller said 'off'! This meant the pool was always very cold and not at all enjoyable for most of our party. The owner left instructions on how to clean the pool filters and the pool itself. However there was a a large clump of bamboo which constantly dumped dried leaves and little spikes into the water and surrounding areas. This necessitated cleaning the pool and filters every day; not good on a holiday! My granddaughter got one of the spikes in her eye; very painful until I managed to remove it. The house is ok. It's not very well equipped; the oven was grubby and didn't light properly. Having said that, it's still a lovely place to be. It's also ridiculously cheap for such a large house. We had twelve people staying without any problems. If the pool issues were resolved, it would be perfect; there's a lovely cafe and shop right outside the side entrance and plenty of parking. The surroundings are really stunning and for that price it's well eorth a visit.

Une maison hors du temps…

Un ancien relais de poste en plein village, sur une place charmante avec qq petits commerces à 2 pas (café, tabac, pharmacie, épicerie) avec un très joli jardin, une piscine très fraîche mais charmante et au bout du jardin derrière une porte la rivière superbe. Un intérieur qui a beaucoup vieillit, très désuet et moyennement propre (très poussiéreux, bcp de tentures aux murs, sols pas nickel et couette + oreiller à passer plus régulièrement en machine). La maison mériterai un grand coup de rafraîchissement… Maison très bruyante, 2 des 4 chambres donnent sur la route avec passage régulier de voiture et camions ne permettant pas d’ouvrir les fenêtres et donc de rafraîchir les chambres la nuit. Du coup chambres extrêmement chaudes et nuits difficiles ! Il manque vraiment un ventilateur par chambre. Ces 2 mêmes chambres sont face au clocher de l’église qui carillonne de 7h à 23h. Important de le savoir (on s’y habitue très vite cependant). Comme les précédent locataire, bien pour une vie plutôt extérieure, prévoir bouchons d’oreille pour la nuit. Pour notre part nous estimons avoir payé trop cher pour cette location. À noter ni les draps ni les serviettes ne sont fournis.

Family stay in Corgnac sur I'Isle

Location was perfect, house was lovely and big but in need of some care and attention, a little less clutter, tiles by pool area in need of repair and would benefit from a cover, having said that we had a wonderful time and our host was very helpful

Nous avons passé une belle semaine à Corgnac. Bel accueil par les propriétaires. Une semaine sous le soleil, entourée de belles activités : piscine, rivière, jeux extérieurs de la mairie, table de tennis et terrain de tennis. Seul bémol: la route est effectivement un peu bruyante au petit matin... Au plaisir de revenir

Super jardin, mais c'est tout

Un superbe jardin au calme avec accès d'une part au bourg et d'autre part au bord de la rivière, bonne communication avec les propriétaires. Des points malheureusement insuffisants pour compenser la vétusté du mobilier et des équipements, surtout en cas de semaine malchanceuse niveau météo. Vraimment dommage au vu du potentiel de la maison !

Charme, mais un peu désuet.

Nous étions en famille avec nos enfants et petits-enfants ( de 7, de 5 et de un an). Jardin avec piscine très agréable mais sans terrasse devant la maison pour un enfant qui ne marche pas ( devant de maison avec terre et cailloux). Maison sur trois niveaux. Agréable sous le soleil, mieux vaut ne pas avoir de pluie. Deux chambres sur la rue, très bruyantes fenêtres ouvertes ( passage fréquent de camions). Équipements très vétustes. Village agréable. Grandes chambres avec lits confortables.
