Great property. Can’t get any closer to the beach. Clean and comfortable, safe location. Appreciate that there is assigned parking and washer/dryer in unit. There’s nothing like watching the sun set every night and having coffee in the morning looking at the waves.

Beyond expectations.

For many years we’ve wanted to stay at a place on the beach. It was very affordable. It had everything we could want or need. Good food options within walking distance . We loved the rocking chairs, listening to the waves and people watching. It was a very memorable stay and will definitely stay at this property again.

NEW FAVORITE VACATION SPOT!

The most amazing views. It was so nice to be right on the beach. Has a place to wash your feet before coming back in. Noise wasn't as bad as I expected being right on the boardwalk. Property manager was around and helpful for any minor needs and fixes! Will definitely be back next time!

Love this place!

We loved this place! Our whole family really enjoyed our stay, and the views are absolutely amazing. What a great spot! We will definitely be coming back to this location. Can't wait for our next vacation here.

Beautiful Beach Front Property

The unit has a gorgeous view of the ocean and is located close to many restaurants. Waking the beach was our favorite thing! Parking is right just like all of San Diego. Thanks for the amazing week in San Diego!

Best beach front with plenty of action

You are right on Mission Beach. The path is right outside your front window taking in all of the people...dogs..music. We barbecued most nights however there are many great places to eat. We met many great people on the shared patio. I would definately stay here again.

It lived up to my dreams

The windows watching the surf was up there with hearing the surf in everything I did. I miss it. Long walks on the beach with my dog, visiting the restaurants and shops nearby on foot. Fantastic! My car didn't move an inch in five days! Best vacay I've had in years! Maurice was super great to work with! I want to go again!

No sun, but the condo was perfect!

Even though the sun did not cooperate, we had a great stay at this condo! Communication with Maurice was always friendly and timely. The check in was easy and the location on strand, beach and walking distance to restaurants was ideal. Parking at any beach community is tough but Maurice gave great tips on where to park for our friends who came for the day. In addition, renting the Fireguy to bring a portable firepit to the beach was a fun way to keep our group together outside. For the little cooking we did, everything was there that we needed. I would recommend this rental if you like to watch the wolrd go by and be steps from the sand.

Great location

There’s one important reason to stay at this property: it is right on Mission Beach. It’s amazing to wake up in the morning, and be able to step right out onto the beach. Just a beautiful place to stay! You won’t regret it.

Not as advertised

We arrived here late on Monday evening and the first problem we encountered was the door by patio side to our place would not open. The pad with code only showed 4 #s on it so we had to go to front which thankfully worked. The next day we had neighbors arrive at 3:30 am and they were extremely loud and causing our two pups to bark. This went on for over an hour. On Wednesday the property had an open house which we were never informed of when we booked or we would not have stayed there. They had people coming and going all day and when we went out every time we came back someone was in our parking slot. Also the slots are extremely small so when someone was parked next to me I had to enter my vehicle through the passenger side because there was barely 4 inches between vehicles. Next we did laundry only to have the dryer give us a error code. We called property manager and was told they would send a repair guy out the next day. That never happened so we had to try to dry our clothes by hanging them and because the weather they would not dry. The place needs to be upgraded a lot. The electric would flicker and when you plugged something in it would spark at the plugs. The pans and dishes all held a funky smell similar to vinegar. There was a broom but no dustpan. The refrigerator kept making a knocking noise which was horrible. Lastly some neighbors came in our last night and were partying till 4:30 in the morning. When I went to take my pups out at 6:30 am their door was wide open and there was a guy snoring loudly and all you smelled was alcohol in the hall. My pups didn’t even want to go out the door and usually I have to hang tight when I open the door. This is the worst vacation experience I have ever encountered so I am very leery about going through VRBO ever again. Honestly for the money we spent we could of had a four star hotel.

Great location

We had a great trip. Just two of us and plenty of room. Beach right there and right in the heart of PB. For the price I don't think there is anything better. I guess there were some incidents going on around us. Kids next door were just having fun and were very respectful for sring breakers. Overall a great place.

We loved the location and even ended up enjoying the other guest staying in the other units we made some friends and mostly will come back sooner rather then later.

Fabulous Stay

Everything you would want for a beach vacation including location, amenities, and beach gear. Plenty of towels, umbrella, toys, boogie boards, skim boards, and more waiting there. The washer and dryer was a lifesaver for our family! We were already talking about going again before we left. We would recommend any of the beach houses in this building. They are well maintained and comfortable.

Meet The Owner of San Diego Beach King

Maurice Maio, a long time San Diego resident and well known successful businessman, started the San Diego Beach King Vacation Rental company in 2000. His first property was the Sleek Retreat purchased in 2000 which is the recipient of many awards including "House of the Year" and "HGTV House Hunter's On Vacation" series.

Mr. Maio took over the family plumbing, heating & air business at age 19 after his losing his father. Starting with 1 truck and no trades knowledge, the company grew to over 50 in less than 5 years and was modeled throughout the world thru the Maio Success System. Mr. Maio developed many innovated business practices and has hosted over 1200 seminars worldwide. He sold his companies to a wall street firm and began his vacation rental business.

Since it's inception, The San Diego Beach King has offered it's clients first class service at reasonable rental rates. Each property is carefully maintained and decorated with style. The Maio team runs smoothly and you'll see him smiling visiting the properties often. He loves Mission Beach, knows where to eat, where to rent, where to surf. Your vacation is his vacation and you'll see it when renting one of his properties that he owns or manages.
