Beautiful property. Thoughtful accomodations inside and out. Well equipped kitchen. Spacious bedrooms. Wonderful views and star gazing at night. Close to both lakes. Driveway was a little unexpected, narrow and whindy, but well worth it when you reach the top!

We enjoyed the beautiful views and well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Very cozy. Reasonable drive to Paso Robles and nice market and cafe nearby.

November 2021 Stay

Gorgeous location and home!!! 3 family members and our dog couldn’t make it due to illness, but the ones that made it thoroughly enjoyed every minute!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!! We will plan another vacation there sometime in the near future!!!

Enjoyable

We stayed for 4 days. The house is well stocked for everyday needs. Plenty of room for a dozen people, the patio is wonderfully layed out for BBQing and visiting. The only negatives are it’s further from town than I expected, that one is on me for not doing extra investigating, the patio could have a fence or barrier for the 2 year old who likes to explore. Overall, we had a wonderful time, thank you for making this home available.

The J's Nest was well stocked and had nice seperation with two suites on each side of the house. Their is good outdoor space as well with a nice patio for taking in the views.

Great Lake Nacimiento getaway!

We utilized this home for a trip to Lake Nacimiento. We've stayed at other homes in the area, but this one has been the best. It is a short drive to the lake (approx. 10 min to the marina). The home is situated on a great piece of land. Great views and very peaceful. The home is beautiful inside and has all the amenities you would need. If you have kids, there is plenty to do to keep them entertained. We highly recommend this home and will definitely look to stay again on our next trip to the area.

Escape to serenity

As mentioned previous reviews, the house is isolated up top on a private hill and provided beautiful golden sunrises during our stay. The kitchen was fully stocked for the serious chefs in our group. We came for Christmas and they decorated the rooms with such festive and joy to create the most happy surroundings to relax in. The outdoor amenities with bbq, firepit table added such a luxury touch- we hope to return soon if we ever visit Paso Robles!

Charming but dirty wine country getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was secluded with beautiful views. Perfect for group gatherings. Thoughtfully appointed with many outdoor spaces and games for families to play. Internet was the fastest they available in the country...which wasn’t fast at all. We were able to do a single Zoom call but not Netflix. Be sure to have a hotspot if you really need internet. The kitchen was well stocked for anything you want to cook. Sharp knives! The property management company was helpful and responsive. My only complaint is cleanliness. The hot tub felt slimy and was smelly. There were hairs in our bed which likely means not all sheets were washed. Many of the dishes were dirty in the cabinet. To be fair, there are many dishes and it’s unreasonable to wash them all between rentals. Our guess is the dish washer doesn’t worker well and the cleaner just takes them about and puts them away. I think it’s out of everyone’s control but there was a sulfur smell outside that was more pungent at times than others. Lastly, the front loading washing machine needs the traps and gaskets cleaned out. It was moldy and had someone else’s old sock in it. Overall, we had a good time at the property but it would have been amazing if it had been cleaner.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were a family of 10 visiting from the Bay area. We chose the weekend before Thanksgiving in 2020 to visit. Before arrival:We had a very good experience working with the concierge on property cleanliness and sanitization. They assured no one was there 48 hours before us and every door handle would be wiped down with Hydrogen peroxide. The check-in process was smooth. Online and app based information was really helpful. Stay:When we reached the property we found it in great condition. The kids play room had a few chips and candy under the sofa and on the table. This was not desirable. Down (-0.5), 4.5 out of 5 so far. Although it is fixable and probably an oversight by the cleaning crew, in COVID season this is probably not acceptable.The porch and play areas were nice and clean. The swing and hot tub were very enjoyable. The table tennis and toss games fun. Rooms were clean and very neat even though we took our own linen and pillows to avoid contact. Kitchen was gorgeous, great to cook for a large group. (-0.1) Internet was weak if you are into seriously working and video conferencing. It wasn't a problem for us to do light work, streaming. Small ding brings it to 4.4 out of 5 so far.We enjoyed Lake San Antonio and Lake Nascimento which were <15 mins away. We saw deer in our front door, played basketball every day of our stay. Very very fun.Overall we had a great time. 4.4 / 5 stars. Highly recommend. Will surely come back, we miss it already.

Wonderful Property, Gorgeous Views

This is a gorgeous property with so many lovely touches to discover; our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would gladly repeat. That said, this could easily have been a low-star review as we experienced a significant maintenance problem immediately upon arrival. The resolution of this problem was a time-consuming experience, stretching well into the following day, and using up quite a bit of time otherwise meant for enjoyment; but the management company worked hard to get things fixed up and put our getaway back on track. Some of our favorite things: • A well-stocked kitchen with just about anything a culinary enthusiast might need to prepare epic meals (which we did) • The floorplan is really great, with two ensuite masters, one at each end of the house, and very comfortable double queen rooms that share a jack and jill bathroom off the main living area • Tons of books and games to choose from, binoculars and telescopes, and lots of hidden gems we were still discovering well into the trip, like the giant Jenga set on the patio • The home is great for kids in general, with a fun den room, a turf lawn area just below the expansive patio for them to romp on, and lots of other fun stuff like cornhole and ping pong • Lots of walking/hiking options are close by, and nature is at the doorstep; we saw lots of bird species including several species of hawks, Bald eagles, Wilson’s warblers, jays and woodpeckers; wild boar passed on the hillsides nearby a couple times, and the views of the lake from the patio are wonderful • The store about 10 minutes’ drive away (Oak Hill Market) is great and has everything you’ll need Things to note: • In cooler weather the stone/tile floors in the house are quite cool/cold, so bring thick socks or slippers as they are not heated • Outside Oak Hill Market there is a water dispenser with reverse osmosis water, and the house has many 3-gallon jugs for your use; after our first day we opted to fill these and use for our drinking water as, while the tap water is fine for drinking, I think it is well water and has a unique taste • The home has a whole-home water softener system which can make the water feel “soapy”, but you get used to it Maintenance items (likely fixed by now): • The jack and jill bathroom shower handle was broken off when we got there, I bought a pair of cheap pliers on day 2 so we could turn the water on and off in that shower • One burner knob on the stove is damaged and won’t go on the stem

Awesome Family Lake Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are avid Lake Naci goers and needed a place last minute for a trip with 2 sets of grandparents, 4 children and 4 parents. We found this rental with a great proximity to Lake Naci (as we bring a boat) and room enough for all the family. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor views and ample seating in the evenings which allowed the three generations to bond and talk without electronics. We love staying at any Paso Vacation Rental (we’ve done many) because we know we can expect clean/comfy linens, great beds, nice towels, and ample stocked kitchens with tools. We go to Lake Naci multiple times a year and can’t wait to come back. One note if towing a boat, you can make it up the drive, but it is a little steep if towing. There’s ample room to fit it at the top, but just in case you may want to launch and rent a slip. Not an issue but mentioning for boaters. Wonderful home ... we loved it!

The property was clean and well-maintained. The layout provided plenty space for everyone. Sitting on porch watching the sunrise over the rolling hills was breath taking. We enjoyed our stay at the J's nest and would recommend this property to friend or relative.FYI If fishing at Nacimiento Lake a fishing license is needed to avoid citation.

Great Views, Good Layout, Plenty to Do

We rented this with a few friends (including a baby). The house had a great layout with bedrooms along the outside of the house, giving plenty of privacy. The living room and kitchen are very spacious allowing constant inclusion for those cooking. The water is very hard so be prepared to see a white residue on most dishes. The blankets (extra for cold nights) could have used another washing but I think it’s just the water. The hot water took a bit of time and it may take a bit of staggering shower times. But that was a very minor issue. Overall, it was easy to check in and easy to check out. Location and views were just as described!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. There was 8 woman who gathered to quilt. The home was perfect for us to spread out, sew, eat, and enjoy the beauty of the area. The house had everything we needed. A problem arose and was taken care of immediately. Even the neighbors were great! Definitely would go back!

Had an amazing time celebrating my 50th birthday with my family. The house was perfect. Accommodated everything that we needed. Lots of games for everyone to play. We relaxed, cooked, went wine tasting and enjoyed just being together.
