Can Gat Vell is two eighteenth century manor house, restored in six charming accommodation in the beautiful village of Llampaies, Alt Empordà, in the Girona area and near the Costa Brava.

Cottages of Can Gat Vell are very well communicated, at only 3 km from motorway AP7, issue 5 direction L'Escala. The best beaches of the Costa Brava are at 17 km. We are situated between Girona (South, 23 km), Figueres (North, 21 km), L'Escala (East, 17 km) and Banyoles (West, 19 km). The volcans region of La Garrotxa is at only 46 km. Border with France at 35mn. Airport Barcelona, at 1h30. Airport Girona, at 30 mn. Train station AVE / TGV in Vilafant, at 25 mn. Ski slopes at 1h50 in La Molina (Pyrenees). Do not forget to visit Cadaqués, Port Lligat, Cap de Creus at about 56 km. We also recommend to spend a whole day in France (Collioure, Carcassonne or Réserve Sigean) as we are at only 35 mn from the border with France.

Properties have communal areas to be shared in order to enjoy the family and the peacefulness. Swimming pool (adults and children) both duly protected, garden, barbecue, covered terrace. Inside space for children. Ping pong. Football, basquet. Wi‐fi. Parking in the grounds. Childfriendly. A farm with chickens and rabbits and our cat.

Can Gat Vell is a quiet place where all guests can relax and enjoy their holiday. We ask for respectful coexistence.
Living in a rural residential area, music is not allowed outside. Indoors, from 11pm, respect not to cause nuisance to other people.
Pets are not permitted in the pool and other common areas. The caution is returned the day after the departure if all is left in good condition.

A dream comes true ...

My name is Isabelle and I would like to introduce my family: Eduard, my husband and my children, Roger and Oriol.

In 2013, after 23 years líving in Barcelona, I left this beautiful city to go to the countryside, in Llampaies, a small village of 80 inhabitants located in the north of Catalonia (Alt Empordà). The life in the city was too stressful and exhausting. I had a great need to go back to the origins, to rediscover the essence of things and small details that make us happy when we can stop the clock.
