The property is very unique and beautiful. Each room has its own ambience and there are plenty of games and toys for all ages. We enjoyed and used all of the 8 bedrooms. We met both the owner Marlys and the manager, Heather. They were both very helpful, hospitable, and friendly. We found the kitchen to be well stocked, however the dishes and glasses were not kid friendly. I was surprised to find two refrigerators, which we definitely took advantage of! The electricity went out three times at night during our stay, once because of a bad storm. That made for some hot and stuffy nights! There were several items that were either broken or not working, like the BBQ, (which Heather helped to ignite), the garbage disposal, which stopped working towards the end of our stay, the top dish rack of the dishwasher, and the elliptical, which needed batteries and Heather supplied them. The kitchen sink also backed up during our last day there. We enjoyed kayaking, swimming, paddleboarding, pontooning, and fishing on the lake. Swimming was marginal, because there was no beach for children. The stairs were a challenge for the little ones, both inside the house and down to the dock. We learned that we should wear water shoes, because the water near the dock was full of tall weeds, and my husband discovered a leech between his toes after being in the water. Also, my grandson found a broken glass in the lake. Overall, our family had a great time, despite some of the challenges we faced.
