The Cottage’s rustic charm speaks to its bygone days as the caretaker’s home for the original farmhouse, now known as Spotswood Lodge. This expansive property is located between the historic towns of Orange, Gordonsville and Barboursville and is very close to Charlottesville as well. Enjoy exclusive private access to this beautiful property by renting the Cottage (sleeps up to 8 guests and is equipped with a kitchenette - fridge/microwave only).
Positioned conveniently between the adorable historic towns of Orange, Gordonsville and Barboursville, the Cottage at Spotswood Lodge is the ideal location to make the most of your vacation. Central Virginia has so much to offer visitors: James Madison’s Montpelier, Barboursville & Early Mountain Vineyards, Shenandoah National Park, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and the University of Virginia. In addition, there are a surprising number of adorable shops and quality restaurants in the Main Street Towns of Orange & Gordonsville (within 10-20 minutes of the Cottage at Spotswood) and The Market at Grelen’s European Style Garden Shop & Cafe, six miles of free walking trails and pick-your-own farm are divine and not to be missed!
