Clean, clear and beautiful twenty-two mile long Broken Bow Lake has a marina, several boat ramps, boat and jet-ski rental vendors and camping/ picnic/swim areas.
Beavers Bend State Park which is mainly the gorgeous river and hill area South of the dam has more boat rental vendors, a fly shop, campgrounds and picnic areas, along with many hiking trail plus a museum and nature center.
The Ouachita National Forest has many miles of off road vehicle driving and also many old logging roads restricted to hiking or horse riding only.
And the small town of Hochatown has many restaurants, equipment rentals, and fun activities for kids and adults alike, including the Hochatown Rescue Center and Petting Zoo.
