The 2C on the door says it all. When the owner contacted me, and yelled at me for not contacting her before checking in, (I'm new to VRBO), I tried to be nice and ask about the "luxury Villa" in the description. I was told that if I wanted a real Villa, I would have to pay 4 times what this one cost. I just don't really understand the concept of the misleading advertising. If she is selling a 1976 Datsun 240z, does she advertise it as a 2017 Porsche 4s, and upon delivery justify the sell by saying if you want a real Porsche, you'd have to pay allot more?
I guess the "private pool" is considered private because it's not open to the public. However, you are sharing your private pool with the other 5 apartments in the complex.
I'm not sure if you're familiar with Dominican republic, but I wouldn't rate it in the top 5 safest places in the world. With that being said, I go there all the time with no problems, because I take measures to protect myself from the dark side. Like locking my front door at night. However, at this place, that was impossible, because the front door lock was broken. So I used the old chair pried under the doorknob.
This place wasn't horrible, but needs extensive repairs and restoration, I'd say 2 months would get her in shape.
But I'll tell you what was horrible. I promise you, and you'll know what I'm talking about if you don't heed my advice, every bed in this place is ROCK HARD. The Flintstones had tempurpedics compared to the pool tables in this place. Truly unbelievable.
And the most amazing part of the entire stay was the owner being so argumentative. I'd be embarrassed to rent out this "apartment" and if my unfortunate tenant had any complaint at all, I'd do everything I could to convince them it was my fault, hoping they wouldn't let out my secret about the "luxury Villa" I conned them into
