This was by far, the cleanest facility that we've ever stayed in. And to top it off, they furnished fresh fruit and other snacks. And the beach was only 50 feet away.

Amazing location!

Curtis was great and the property couldn’t have been better! The view of the ocean and all the additional perks provided were amazing! We will definitely stay again!

Lance and his friends were very nice. But after two nights in my suite the place was very dirty. I had a few new scratches on the walls. I felt like my VRBO Suite was treated more like a Hotel 8 then somebody’s home. I would not rent to theses men again.

Stunning oceanfront property

Premier host, impeccable apartment with thoughtful touches. Outdoor patio incredible with sights of whales in the distance and eagles overhead. Location was the best!

We have stayed at numerous bnb’s over the years and this lil treasure is right up there! Clean, spacious, incredible views and the hospitality was top notched! We can’t recommend this place more! Thank you Curtis for such a memorable stay in beautiful SE AK!

This is what short term rental was meant to be… Curtis is a gracious host and takes pride in his beautiful property. Easy check in, easy check out, unique experience. We just wish we had more time to enjoy.

Great Place Right on the Water

I stayed here for a business trip. The place is on the ocean coast and is extremely clean and nice. Craig is a great guy and made sure I had everything I needed. Thank you.

Ocean view

I really enjoyed my stay at this property! Curtis and Wendy are very nice people and easy to work with. I enjoyed being right on the ocean as well did my children. The room was very clean and a pleasure to stay at. I highly recommend this property and will be using it again in the future.

The place was clean, perfectly located right on the beach, close to shops in Craig. Not having a stove or oven might be a problem for some but it worked just fine with the electric skillet and large microwave. Bring enough clothes since there isn’t a washer or dryer, but at the price and location it’s a worthwhile trade off for us.

Thank you so much, Curtis, for the wonderful stay in Craig AK. We were blown away by how great your location and apartment were. Everything was absolutely spotless and very well stocked. What a pleasant surprise to find snacks and breakfast items. Watching fireworks from the beautiful fire pit was perfect!

A room with a view

Curtis is a fantastic host and very knowledgeable about the area. He also has great connections in the tourism industry and was able to connect us with a great boat captain to take us out on a sightseeing excursion. The apartment is very clean and beautiful. It is an upper level of the home with amazing views of mountains and ocean.

We will go back. Highly recommend!

Very clean and soothing atmosphere. Curtis and Wendy were superior. Fishing was a great experience. Tranquil part of the island. We loved being able to relax and enjoy the forest. The facility was clean and well equipped. There is nothing negative to say except make transportation arrangements in advance.

A perfect gem.

We absolutely adored our vacation here. The perfect location with amazing views and amenities. Check in was super easy and Curtis was fantastic with getting us settled in. The room was spacious and modern. Cutely decorated. Super comfortable. The eagle nest at the end of the driveway was a great bonus. An ideal host. We can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay here. We feel like we have made some wonderful friends on top of having an incredible vacations with memories that will last forever.

Far Exceeded Our Expectations!

What an incredible property! The Lighthouse Inn apartment is incredible. We've rarely stayed at a place so immaculate, well-stocked and furnished with such an amazing view! Everything about it was spectacular, including the art work, bed linens and appliances. The hosts were so accommodating and Curtis went above and beyond as a tremendous host. The biggest surprise was the new paved stone patio and gas fire pit with spectacular water and mountain views which we were welcome to use at any time. The location is perfect, close to town and great trails within walking distance. If we ever return to Prince of Wales, this is where we'll stay! Thank you Wendy and Curtis for a great stay and memorable 4th of July!!!

10-Star Accommodations!

It's hard to find the right words to describe the tranquil benefits that come with staying at this property. My husband and I were there for the 4th of July holiday, so the experience may differ depending on time of year, but wow....every morning I was greeted by the sight of eagles soaring through the sky or just sitting on the shore eyeballing a tasty treat. I literally spent countless number of hours just watching the tide come in while enjoying my coffee - conveniently supplied by the hosts, Curtis and Wendy. Which leads me to a review of their remarkable hospitality. Not only do they offer a portion of their beautiful home for guests to enjoy, but they fill it full of goodies and other amenities that are a nice treat when compared to staying at a hotel. (The propane outdoor fire pit was the best - no smelling like burnt wood when crawling into bed.) They were gracious and continued to check on us throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. To say this was a trip of a lifetime is an understatement. We will return, and with any luck, Curtis and Wendy won't be booked out to infinity!!

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay! The suite was spotless, quiet, and had beautiful waterfront views that we looked forward to every morning. The kitchenette was just right for making a light breakfast before heading out to explore Prince of Wales Island. We enjoyed dinners each evening at Dockside and Papa’s Pizza, so it was the perfect setup for us.We spent most of our trip hiking, exploring the island, and one unforgettable day offshore fishing with Curtis. We caught seven different species of fish while enjoying some of the most beautiful scenery around the islands west of Craig. It was truly a highlight of our Alaska adventure. The location was perfect—peaceful and relaxing, with comfortable seating around the fire pit overlooking the water. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking, fishing, and exploring. The hosts have thought of everything, and it’s obvious they take great pride in their property. If you’re looking for a comfortable home base to experience Craig and Prince of Wales Island, I highly recommend staying here. We would absolutely book this property again!

Beautiful property

What a wonderful place to stay. You can not beat the views! The extra touches with snacks and coffee provided was very helpful with limited grocery choices on the island. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Experience

Work Trip - Independent Contractor. I was asked to travel to Craig, Alaska during winter! Trying to set plans, I decided to try VRBO. I look for the nicest place to stay. I found be Brown’s place. I made the reservation and received a quick reply. The best happened after. Being on my own, I started to ask questions of Curtis . He is very friendly and helpful. The place very well done. Curtis walked me through the unit. They had purchased snacks and water. I could not have asked for a better host or experience. I was able to complete my work and visit the island. I highly recommend the Browns and their unit for your stay. I hope to visit again for vacation.

Travel nurse’s dream!

I was lucky enough to stay at Lighthouse Inn for the entirety of my travel nurse contract. I had the best view in the whole town. I think saw a bald eagle from every window in the apartment. Not to mention being able to sit and watch the whales! Cemetery Trail is within walking distance and there is a bike path immediately in front of the property, which happens to lead to the clinic in town. Was just over a mile to Peacehealth Prince of Wales Clinic and not too bad of a walk, weather permitting. The driveway had plenty of room for parking the clinic car. ARMC SEARHC would also be a quick 5-10 minute commute. I found the accommodations extremely comfortable for an extended stay. I had to wake up early for work each day and never had any difficulty with the noise level. The neighborhood itself is in a quieter, more private, part of town. Wendy and Curtis made my stay so memorable and truly went out of their way to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. I would love to come back!

Gabrielin was such a great guest. Always very friendly and personable. Me and my wife enjoyed several conversations with her. She always communicated quickly. Quiet as a church mouse, and left the place in excellent condition. We would have her back anytime and highly recommend her to any other hosts.

Lovely location & view, close to town, spotless with extremely nice owners

Everything was perfect, we will stay here again for sure. The bed was extremely comfortable & great shower. Every inch of property was spotless!
