We traveled with our adult children and their families and used all 4 cabins. It was a perfect set up for everyone to have their own space and yet be together in the lake, by the fire, or together in the larger cabin for dinner and games.
All of the cabins were unique, very clean, and really had all we needed. The kitchens are well stocked, including paper towels, dish soap, bags, etc. if one cabin didn’t have a blender (for instance) the other ones did. There was a nice basket in each cabin that supplied us with all kinds of extras-toothbrushes, bug spray, coffee pods, tea, pens, paper, etc. it was really nice touch and much appreciated.
We loved that our little ones could be just about anywhere and we didn’t have to worry about a road of any kind because the cabins sit down in a little area down a hill away from everything.
The lake is beautiful, we had a visiting loon and fishing from the shore was pretty good if you are just fishing for fun. It was a great place to teach our 4 year old grandson how to fish.
It was an easy jaunt into town and not far away from some great hiking and sightseeing. Don’t miss Donaldsons for fabulous soft serve ice-cream!
Our only surprise and complaint is how close we were to the highway, which brought noise and street lights to an otherwise sweet spot We are a family who seeks solitude, and we were rightly or wrongly anticipating a more quiet location.
