The house was perfect for us (2 adults and 2 kids, ages 8 and 11). We loved having access to the water every day. Many little extra details, including sheets, blankets, salt, pepper, spices, sharp knives, dishes, pots, pans, roasting sticks, 2 pie irons, and kiln-dried wood for the fire pits. The beds were comfortable and the house was warm enough. The rocky beach and chilly water meant that our water shoes and wetsuits were much appreciated. Even so, we enjoyed the water every day, by canoeing, kayaking, and playing on the innertubes/floaties that we brought. The lake's healthy tea color and waves made snorkeling a bit pointless, but my 11 year old gave it a good try (supervised and with a life vest). One particularly chilly day, we went for a hike at Iron Ore Heritage Trail. At night, we usually roasted marshmallows and settled down to watch one of our movie DVDs. We didn't miss wifi. We look forward to a return visit.
