Disappointing Stay – Wouldn’t Book AgainOur experience with First Choice Cabin Rentals was frustrating from start to finish. We booked through VRBO to earn airline miles, but were charged directly by First Choice, making us ineligible for rewards.We didn’t receive check-in info and had to call while driving. The staff admitted seeing our message but never responded. They said confirmation emails often go to spam and mentioned we had to check in by 8 PM—something buried in the listing. We also learned we had to pick up the key at a separate location, which was very inconvenient. While the staff said this was to offer recommendations, most travelers now prefer self-check-in and can easily find info online.The cabin’s Wi-Fi didn’t work on arrival. We rebooted the router and messaged through VRBO, but after being told the issue was sent to a supervisor, we never heard back. We followed up again due to the lack of cell service—still no response, and no fix during our stay.We used VRBO messaging to keep a record, but communication was poor. Overall, we wouldn’t book with First Choice again due to the lack of responsiveness, outdated check-in process, and unresolved issues.
