First note: the city-mandated pool alarm was set off immediately upon our arrival. A high-pitched shrieking noise very like a car alarm sounds when a door to a pool area is opened without first pressing a small grey button. There is supposed to be a corresponding grey button on the outside to come in, but there was not, and so with each child or adult’s re-entry into the house, this alarm went off. NOT conducive to a relaxing vacation. Rather all our nerves were set on edge. So in spite of the fact that this is a lovely and spacious house in a beautiful area close to the beach & within walking distance to the well-known St. Armand’s Circle, I would ONLY stay there again if the owner installed the buttons on the outside. It may be costly, but it would pay for itself in rentability.
If your group doesn’t want to open the doors to the pool area, or if you are fine with using the front door and walking around the house, then rent it.
The management company was nice and helpful with several maintenance issues: icemaker needed replacing so they supplied several bags of ice. One toilet gave us problems. Outside outlets on lower front balcony unusable due to something growing inside. The pool area and chairs could have benefited from a pressure washing prior to our arrival.
Plenty of dishes, glasses, flatware, and cooking tools. But no coffee filters, salt, pepper or spices. For the 13 people in our group, ages 6-74, it was very comfortable. Lots of towels. Checkout easy.
