Carolyn and Paul, the owners, were very hospitable, welcomed us with a bottle of local wine, and always on hand to direct us to the local places to visit (make sure you visit Conque), which were lovely. The Gite is small but ideal for two people, and has everything you need for your stay. The patio area is a lovely little sun trap as well. We made very good use of the pool, which was a great way to cool off in the heat. If you want to fish whilst you are there, make sure you take your waders, as the far river bank is where all the shelter is.The village is beautiful, great little pottery there and a local Intermarche if you need anything basic (nearest supermarket is about 30 minutes away). There is a lovely restaurant/bar in the village square called 'Le Independente', not a huge menu, but everything was cooked to perfection and the staff were really nice.
