A lovely spot

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Casa de las Flores. It is a spacious property which is very well-equipped, and there were lovely touches like fresh flowers and a number of food basics, including some home-made produce. There was a lot of useful info with maps and suggestions for days out which we very much appreciated. And then there was the garden! I have never seen so many bees and butterflies. We were invited to help ourselves to some of the produce which we used for our evening meals.

El alojamiento es una encantadora casa, ubicada en un tranquilo pueblo rodeado de naturaleza. La estancia se caracteriza por su atmósfera acogedora, perfecta para desconectar del ritmo urbano. El entorno rural ofrece paisajes de campo y silencio absoluto, ideal para relajarse, disfrutar de paseos al aire libre y conocer la ribera sacra. Muy recomendable.

Un lugar excepcional

La casa de las Flores constituye un emplazamiento excepcional para conocer la Ribeira Sacra. Organizada sobre una antigua vivienda rural, reúne las comodidades necesarias (¡y alguna más!) para disfrutar de un pleno descanso físico e intelectual en una pequeña aldea de Lugo. La recomendamos para aquellas parejas que quieran disfrutar de paz, sosiego, naturaleza y autenticidad

Magnificent.

We enjoyed a very nice space. The house is fantastic for what we wanted: a place from a power to discover the Sacred Riviera. We felt right at home. The house meets all the expectations described. The deal with Barbara and Martin has been like we’ve known each other for a long time. They are very kind.

Eine ruhige Oase zum Erholen

Die Ferienwohnung zu finden ist nicht ganz leicht gewesen, hat sich aber auf jeden Fall gelohnt. Begrüßt eotden sind wir von unsren deutschen Vermitern mit 2 Eiern, Tomaten aus dem eigenen Garten und einer Fladche lokalem Wein. Die Wohnung ist optimal zum runterfahren und wohlfühlen. Der nahegelegene Canyon bietet viele sehr schöne Ausblicke. Die Wohnung können wir auf jeden Fall weiterempfehle.

Perfectly off the beaten track

We spent 7 nights in La Casa de los Flores and back home now we really miss the little balcony breakfasts with the cuckoo calling close by. But to give the best impression of what it is really like there in late Spring here are my notes from when we arrived. It’s a delight to sit out on the balcony as supper is cooking and watch the swifts swooping overhead. No planes, no trains, no cars – how different from London. We’ve spent an enjoyable afternoon stocking up on fresh fruit and veg in the local supermarket (Claudio’s) – free Spanish lesson thrown in, then off to the ironmongers (yes really!) for some good local red wine. We wanted to get away from it all and we have. Barbara &Martin have created a great OffGrid* bolt-hole for disillusioned townies needing a complete change. Their lovely upstairs flat for two has all we need for one week’s escapism in Galicia (If you need somewhere bigger talk to our lovely hosts about their newly refurbished Galician house 5 kms away) *I think maybe it’s mains electricity but everything else is impeccably Green – wood pellet stove, well water etc. Thank you Barbara & Martin for being the ideal hosts and making sure we got the maximum out of our stay.

Hemos estado en este paraje impresionante como ese la Ribera Sacra en el mejor lugar para hacerlo, en La casa de las Flores, la casa de los pequeños detalles que Barbara y Martín nos lo muestran y dejan compartir. El alojamiento muy lindo y el lugar super tranquilo. Gracias por ofrecer este alojamiento. Besotes lindos.

Superbe location

Appartement confortable aménagé avec goût dans une vielle maison restaurée avec un très beau petit jardin. Proche des points d íntérêt touristique dans un petit village très calme. Les propriétaires sont adorables. Nous recommendons vivement. M et Mme Grégoire JC France

Last we were in the UK for about 15 years. Now we are semi-retired and enjoy the rural setting here in Galicia.
My wife's hobby growing plants which obviously makes for great gardens and overflowing polytunnels.

Central and tranquil location to explore the Ribeira Sacra at your leisure. Our Rio Sil is the border between the province of Lugo and Ourense. The coasts are just 2 hours away and it's just about 1,5 hours to Santiago de Compostela.
