This Blue Ridge vacation rental is situated in prime hiking territory with an abundance of year-round activities while still being only 10 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge. Though Above the Timberline is located off of a partially paved/partially gravel road, it does not require 4WD. Unfortunately we cannot control the quality of the road, but we have not had any complaints from past guests about the terrain. This home is only 10 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge and is in the heart of the Aska Adventure Area, which is full of hiking trails and other excursions. We manage privately owned luxury cabins, so the homeowner is responsible for the items they desire to leave in their cabin. We will be happy to pass along that casserole dishes would be a great addition to the kitchen area. As far as the firewood, it is an additional service we offer since we order firewood through a local, private vendor. Thank you for complimenting the location, listing transparency, cleanliness and views of Above the Timberline. This privately-owned luxury cabin in Blue Ridge is positioned nearby downtown and many family-friendly activities. We would like to address your comments. Constructive feedback is always welcome, but many of these concerns are simply untrue. First, the decor of the cabin is clearly depicted in the extensive gallery for the home. As you mentioned previously, the listing is accurate. The choice of decor is up to the homeowner, not us as the property management company. Above the Timberline captures a clean, tasteful, and rustic style, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion on decor. We do not mention a TV in the 4th bedroom, and that is a choice made by the homeowner. Second, we never received any comments from you during or after your stay about the property's layout. Nor have we ever received any comments like this from our guests. The fact that this property consistently receives 5-stars is evidence to its popularity and comfort. We reviewed the ceiling fans, and they are completely usable and do not make noise. The screened-in porch does latch and the furniture depicted in the photos is accurate and can comfortably seat up to 8 guests. Regarding the yard, the home sits embedded into a grassy hill, and there was some mud in the area due to significant summer rains. The mountains do carry ticks, but there is no "infestation;" it's just a part of being outdoors in north Georgia. Third, our rental agreement process is extremely streamlined. Reservation requests are immediately emailed our E-Sign document to be initialed. The pet deposit mentioned in the listing description is not described as a hold, and we do apologize for the refund miscommunication. Had you reached out to our office, we would have apologized for the delay and promptly refunded it. Escalating this to a credit card dispute was not necessary and did not allow us the opportunity to help. Fourth, we provide a digital Guestbook to our guests and a text thread for any after hours questions. During your stay, we responded to you within minutes. As the property manager, we act as a liaison between the guest, homeowner, outside vendors, and our own company. Fifth, during your stay, you contacted us about the trash bin but just to inform us of the late night visitor. When we asked what the state was, you sent us the photos attached to your review and you explained that you had kindly cleaned up the loose trash. We explained we would make a work order for the boards, and that was the end of it. Sixth, in the afternoon on your last full day in Blue Ridge, you contacted us that the water had gone out. We immediately contacted the homeowner and learned that the community well which services several homes, including Above the Timberline, needed an electrical repair. We provided consistent and clear updates as we heard from the well company, and your tone was very understanding and professional. The water returned that evening and everything was in order. While we do appreciate constructive feedback, we do have a responsibility to point out the facts. Our listing is completely accurate as you stated originally, and any concerns during your stay were responded to immediately. We wish you the best.

This top-of-the-line cabin boasts many amenities that are sure to entertain and keep our guests happy. The spacious wrap-around porches are perfect for morning coffee, card games in the afternoon, and outdoor dining in the evening. As far as the kitchen, there are plenty of utensils and appliances, but we will pass along your feedback to the homeowner to add a griddle, as well as extra rocking chairs. We do provide 3 bath towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 wash cloths per bed in order to keep laundry manageable between reservations.
