Beautiful

The facility was clean, the view was beautiful and the staff was amazing. Only negative is the elevators. You need to add 20 minutes to travel time just to wait on the elevator. The lines were awful and it seriously took forever to go anywhere.

Loved it!

Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The view was awesome and we had so much fun. We paid the extra for beach service and enjoyed that as well. Everyone was super nice, especially the beach service attendants. Wonderful vacation and we hope to come back again! Thank you!

Sring break trip

The condo was fine.The problem was with elevators,the wait was awful we had to use stairs the whole time we were there,also the elevator in parking deck wasn't working either,and the Jacuzzi wasn't open or the indoor pool until the last day.We stayed there several times and it has gotten worse , don't plan on staying there anymore.

Good Stay

Condo was clean and customer service was very helpful. There was a water leak in the kitchen on our first day and all parties associated with the condo were very responsive. Maintenance came right away to fix problem and give us towels and fans. It was a bummer to have to take care of this on our stay but everyone was very nice and apologetic.

Beautiful view

Beautiful place. Elevators were extremely busy and wait times long. Beds were messy and dishes dusty. But other than that everything was pretty much clean. People were nice and polite and everyone was happy. Had a great vacation.

It was “ok”

The condo size was good, it needs updating as it looks like the last time was at least 20 years ago. The unit itself was not cleaned well AT ALL. Behind every door was dirt, the closets were dirty, sand all over the spare beds. There is no fitted sheet on the master bed which is weird just a super thin plastic sheet thing and a flat sheet. Thankfully this unit is only on the 5th floor bc you won't get an elevator and should be able to take stairs only or wait 20-30 minutes or more for an elevator. The master sink wouldn't drain and the kitchen faucet worked intermittently. I contacted the company and never heard a reply to the kitchen sink. For the fees that are paid I would expect it to be cleaner. Would not stay here again. The best part about the place was parking and the beach location.

When we got to the condo there was a dead bird on our patio that we had to clean up and the outdoor chairs were covered in bird poop. We have a 1 year old so the patio was not of use to us since it had so much bird poop. The main bed did not have a fitted sheet on the bed so we were constantly waking up pulling the sheet so we weren't laying on the mattress.

This is a beautiful condo with a perfect view of the ocean!

We absolutely loved this condo. It was beautifully decorated and the location on the 5th floor made it perfect for taking the stairs, because everything we heard about the nightmare elevator situation was true. When we were unable to use the stairs because of groceries or having a beach wagon loaded with chairs, umbrellas and toys, we literally waited for 15-20 minutes at times for an elevator. That did get frustrating pretty fast. The Tidewater itself is a nice condo building with nice facilities, pools, gym, a great restaurant and the perfect location to walk to many places. I did however think the layout was odd, with the pools being on either side of the huge building and not in the middle or within easy access of the beach. And I'm not sure what to say about the shower situation coming back from the beach other than it was very chaotic. They have 2 showers on each side, but only one of them works and when there are hundreds of people running from an incoming storm (which happens everyday in Florida), and all of them are trying to wash the sand off of themselves, multiple chairs, wagons, boogy boards...well, you get the picture. It took FOREVER and everyone was frustrated to be standing in the pouring rain with lightening striking all around us while people took their time cleaning their things with hundred people lined up behind them. There really should be an employee out there to push people along. We stood there while parents literally let their children PLAY in the shower as we stood there getting poured on waiting for our turn. This is not the Tidewater's fault, but a little guidance from an employee, might stop this nonsense. This building does have security and we felt totally safe during our visit there. We definitely enjoyed our vacation and were so sad to leave!

Great place

We enjoyed our stay. The location is great. It was within walking distance of Pier Park. The elevators were slow but being on the 5th floor we were able to take the stairs. All of the staff we encountered were extremely nice and helpful except.for the luggage cart guy. Hopefully he was just having a bad day. Other than that we enjoyed our trip!

Perfect getaway

We decided to travel down last minute and it was a great secure location with security all on premises. Convenient location with gorgeous views. Elevators took a longer than expected but the stuff was amazing.

Not as pictured

This property is not at all as pictured. There are much nicer places to stay in the area at lower prices. The carpet was filthy. There was not only a cough drop under the bed and food on the balcony but the tile floors were also sticky so it obviously had not been cleaned well. This property was disappointing at best. Do not purchase the additional insurance offered during the payment process. You will be charged twice for it because it is already included in the fees charged by the property owner and VRBO will not refund the overcharged amount.

Great View!!!!

Beautiful view - nice furnishings but M. Bedroom needs new carpet or flooring. Kitchen has a weird layout but everything worked. 2nd bedroom was just two bunk beds -so would be good for children. We did have issue with garbage disposal but called & they called back & scheduled a time to come.

The only negative thing I have to say is the elevators are a pain at this property, but the unit itself was great! Cozy, comfortable, home away from home, with an amazing view!!

Nice rooms terrible parking and elevator

The room was very nice! The problem with Tidewater is the elevator. It took 45 minutes to get on the elevator the first night there. The next day it stopped working because of a severe thunderstorm damaged the transformer. That was a lie cause we didn't have a severe storm. The property is too big for the amount of elevators it has. We had to use the stairs the entire stay. Even when the elevator worked it was always fool of people when it would finally stop at your floor. I would not recommend staying there unless you want your vacation to feel like a workout!

Long awaited Vacation

We had a wonderful stay with only one "hiccup" , the washer overflowed due to a faulty drain connection. This happened on Saturday night on the beginning of our stay. Luckily we were still in the room or this would have been a huge mess for a lot of people. someone responded the next day and did bring back more towels as we had to use the ones provided to clean up all the water including our beach towels.

Spring Break

The condo itself was nice. The appliances could use a little updating. Just because the dryer and the stove seemed to take a while to get things done. The elevators are a nightmare! Some guests waited anywhere between 30 mins to an hour. This will be a reason we won't be returning to Tidewater itself.

The bed was very uncomfortable

The information that I am providing was reported to Vacation Life Properties When we arrived the 2nd bathroom had "pee and a brown circle" in the toilet and smelled bad. We washed towels, then placed wet towels in dryer and then the dryer made a huge knocking noise and then quit. (I reported this as soon as it happened) The towels were replaced with dry towels from Vacation Properties. Inside the dryer is black mold also, it is rusty as well. The Master bathroom - the chain comes off the toilet when flushing. So my husband and I had to reattach several times for flushing. The Master bedroom - the bed is very uncomfortable. My husband has to take a twin bed and place it on living room floor. My hip hurt sleeping on this bed. We do not have back or hip problems. He placed the twin bed back when he was finished sleeping on it. The toilet paper rolls. They had 2 but not full amounts. No extra garbage liner. We took our full garbage to the shute. Very little dish detergent not a full amount. We purchased some for our use. Dishwasher detergent. When they dropped off the towels, they dropped off some detergent because I mentioned it to them. I hope this helps the next guest, so they do not have to experience the same amount of inconvenience.
