Super cosy and authentic house in the woods

We had a wonderful holiday in the Swedish woods in Torpet Nyhem. Highlights include the alcove beds which were loved especially by all children, the fireplace and bathtub. A really cosy place for a holiday. Paul and Lena were super friendly and helpful hosts. We would love to come back 😊

Cozy, cozy, cozy!

Beautiful, rustic cabin with all of the necessities for a comfortable stay. Paul was very responsive and everything was in perfect order. The scenery surrounding this cabin is breathtaking...we walked for several hours and enjoyed the natural setting! Would definitely rent again...

Good.

We spent two weeks in the house. The garden is beautiful, full of butterflies, bees, lizards and even snakes. We really enjoyed it. We would have liked a bit more comfort in the house, especially in the bathroom. It wasn't really possible to shower unless you wanted to flush the whole bath, and we were a bit disappointed that the house wasn't as clean as we expected. Overall we had a good stay, thanks Paul for having us.

Nette Hütte in perfekter Lage

Nettes nostalgisches Haus in perfekter Lage. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Traumhafte Natur in absoluter Nähe. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war unkomplizierte. Das Haus ist gemütlich, aber nicht komfortabel (Bad, Betten). Aber das hatten wir auch nicht erwartet.

In the middle of nature

Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay at Torpet Nyhem. We particularly liked the secluded quiet location in an area with numerous lakes, untouched nature and many hiking trails. The communication with the owner was perfect: very fast response time, very welcoming and always nice and courteous. The house has fast internet connection and the kitchen is well equipped. There is plenty of info material for different places of interest. We would recommend this location to people who seek quietness, who love nature and outdoor activities.

Gemütliches Ferienhaus in toller Lage

Wir haben uns mit unseren vier Kindern (19, 16, 11 und 6) in dem gemütlichen Waldhäuschen sehr wohlgefühlt. Dank der Lage konnte man entweder die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit rund um's Haus genießen oder auch Ausflüge in die nähere (jede Menge Seen zum Baden und Angeln, Wälder zum Wandern und Beeren- und Pilzesuchen) oder auch etwas weitere Umgebung (der Lygnern-See mit Fjäras Bräcka, Schloss Tjolöholm direkt am Meer, Torpa Stenhus, Äskhult...) machen, sodass die zwei Wochen viel zu schnell vergangen sind. Ein Urlaub, an den wir uns noch lange und sehr gerne erinnern werden...

Wunderbar zum Abschalten

Ich blieb eine Woche in diesem wunderbaren leicht abgelegen Häuschen auf einem kleinen Hügel, auf einer Lichtung mitten im Wald. Die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit ist wunderschön. Man kann durch den Wald spazieren, Pilze und Beeren sammeln, oder einfach die Natur genießen. Es ist ein unglaublich toller Ort um mal abzuschalten. Auch ohne Auto kommt man ganz gut hin, wenn einen etwas Laufen nicht stört. Die Busse in die Nachbarorte fahren regelmäßig (außer Sonntags, da fahren nicht viele) und da kann man alles einkaufen, was man dann im Haus zu Essen braucht. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen!

Abseits von allem…..

Wir haben die Abgeschiedenheit gesucht und in Torpet Nyhem gefunden. Wer die Natur liebt, Erkundundungstouren mag und seinen Hund im Urlaub dabei haben möchte, muss hier her kommen. Mit dem Auto sind Supermärkte und Dinge für das alltägliche Leben gut zu erreichen. Das Mietobjekt selber ist sehr ursprünglich, aber es fehlt an nichts. Wir hatten eine super Zeit. Dank GPS kann man sich in den Wäldern nicht verirren, den Internetempfang ist überall. Abschließend muss man sagen, Torpet Nyhem muss Mensch und Hund erlebt haben!!

Rust, en back to basic

De heerlijke plek, de bossen eromheen, de absolute rust en de privacy waren echt top! Met een boek in de hangmat, een mooie wandeltocht of een duik in een meer.. het kan allemaal. Heerlijk! Het huis zelf is back to basic 2.0. Daar moet je van houden.

Enchanted House, full of wonders

Torpet Nyhem it's an unique, and cozy pearl, hidden in the woods in Swedish wilderness. The house is 230 years old, but the standard is very decent. It's very clean and well kept, inside and outside. It's full of charming, unique antiques and it's also fully equipped. The surroundings are stunning. Perfect for hiking or ski touring. The owners are very sweet and helpful. It was a real pleasure talking to them and learning more interesting facts about the House and surroundings. We had a fantastic and relaxing 4 days out there, and it wasn't the last time :)

Ein herrlicher Ort zum Entspannen

In dem Haus mit dem Charme aus vergangenen Zeiten fühlt man sich sofort gut aufgehoben. Im Garten kann man viele Singvögel beoachten und mit einigen Schritten ist man "draußen" in der Natur. Ganz wunderbar!

Sehr gute Lage

Wenn man einen klassischen schwedischen Urlaub wünscht, dann muss man hier kommen. Ich empfehle es weiter und mein nächster Schweden Urlaub wird auch hier stattfinden.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus, absolut ruhig und alleine gelegen. Perfekt für Naturliebhaber und Urlauber, die Ruhe suchen. Ideal auch für Hundebesitzer. Die Einrichtung ist, passend zu dem historischen Haus, antik. Das Haus war sehr sauber und die Ausstattung ist als gut zu bezeichnen. Wir kommen gerne wieder...

Wunderschönes Haus m Wald

Wir konnten uns in einer Woche Aufenthalt prima erholen. Alles vorhanden, sehr warm und gemütlich. Man konnte vom Haus in die verschiedensten Richtungen Wanderungen starten.

A perfect, cosy little house to enjoy the beautiful nature of Sweden!

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. The house has everything you need and the kids loved their bedroom! The woods and lakes around the house are just beautiful. We loved it! (Also the communication with Paul went verry good!)

Very good place to relax and calm down

We spent there some days after new years eve and hoped to start the year in a relaxing way. The house looked cozy in the pictures and it definitly was. The livng room is nicely furnished, the fire place is a big highlight. The house was even decorated according to the christmas season. Also the location of the building on this little clearing is very nice. We were lucky and had clear skies so we could enjoy a first class view of the milky way at nights. The communication with Paul was easy, fast and very friendly. Only one minor downside: the area around the house looked a little scruffy as some junk parts were just laying around. Nonetheless, our expectation were absolutely met and we would definitely recommend Paul´s place. Thank you for having us :)

Lovely cabin in the woods

It is a beautiful place for people who love being in the nature and simplicity. We stayed there during december and thanks to the nice wood-stove and the radiators it was always warm and cosy. The area is perfect for hiking. What we loved most was the peace and quiet whe had there. The cabin intself has everything you need, but you shouldn't expect any luxury. But sitting there in the evening with lighted candles and stove makes you feel like you went back in time (which is alsodue to all the antique furniture :)). It was a great experience and for everyone who need some time away from the the stress of everyday life: this is the place to be.
