The villa at Skaloma is an unforgettable property and its owner and managers are tremendous people! Six of us stayed on the second leg of our Greece vacation. We were looking for a small village experience on water, and that’s exactly what we got. Communication with Alex, Kostas, and Zeta was prompt and easy. Kostas and Zeta are perfect hosts - from the very helpful and informative emails prior to our arrival to the personal greeting and introductory tour of the villa upon our arrival - which was much later than we anticipated. A lovely welcome gift awaited us and a very special bakery delivery by Kostas and Zeta arrived a few days later.The property itself is remarkable offering every amenity you could need in a beautiful authentic Greek home. We were very comfortable and made ourselves at home. It was SO clean too!The beach! Ohhhh, the beach. Literal steps from the front door. Crystal clear water on the Gulf of Corinth with a backdrop of hills and clear blue skies. It was a dream to kayak in the morning and walk the quiet street for a light snack and a beverage.We were greeted each day by the very sweet and gentle neighborhood dog whom we named “Dusty”. I believe he loved us as much as we loved him.The breeze through the MANY windows was delightful and the covered porches were the perfect places to have our morning coffee and relax. Our ONLY regret was leaving. Kostas and Zeta were there to send us off with a hug and kiss. Parting is such sorrow.

An absolute gem

We are just back from a wonderful stay in Skaloma. From the moment we booked until the moment we left, Kostas and Zeta provided us with prompt, helpful and friendly information and ensured we had everything we needed. The villa is beautiful and right next to the beach, it looks exactly like the photos. Skaloma was busy-ish during the day (mid-August) but pretty quiet in the evenings. You'd need a car or taxis to see the local area but if you wanted to you could happily spend a week bouncing between the beach, the house, and the cafes. Everyone we met was really friendly and our complete lack of Greek wasn't a problem. We would definitely recommend this as a wonderful and relaxing place to stay, with brilliant hosts.

Vacances au calme

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Zêta et Kostas: accueil, gentillesse, disponibilité, propreté, calme (loin des touristes étrangers), plage devant la maison. La maison est idéale pour 2 familles, fraîche et avec de l’espace à l’extérieur pour rester au calme et profiter de l’ombre et des soirées. Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour.

Simply paradise

Kostas and Zeta are wonderful and generous hosts. My family and I had a deeply relaxing and authentically Greek holiday staying at their beautifully positioned villa. The road outside was quiet and more of a pathway, where each morning either a fruit and bakery van would trundle by selling their tasty goods. The local bars and tavernas were just opening up for the summer season, so we had plenty to chose from. We swam in crystal waters every morning, walked along the seafront and in the evening enjoyed the unspoilt view with a game of cards and a glass of wine. In the garden the lemon and orange trees were exploding with fruit so we made fresh orange juice and lemonade with the kids. A truly relaxing family holiday. Kostas and Zeta - thank you so very much for sharing this home and for the incredible baklava, olive oil and olives!

Excellent property, relaxing holiday

A lovely property in a great location, right at the water's edge. The sea is perfect for swimming, and there's a sea canoe with the house. Kostas and Zeta were very kind hosts, careful to see to everything we needed, but not at all intrusive (their apartment is at the rear of the house). The house itself is very comfortable and well equipped. There are several beach bars a few steps away, though we found that we did need the car to go to the supermarket and restaurants. Kostas made some very good recommendations.

Perfect for two families sharing and even more stunning than the photo's!

Kostas and Zeta were the perfect hosts, available when you needed some help or advice but allowing you to get on with your holiday as you wanted. The house is perfect for two families sharing and very well equipped. A great kitchen for cooking at home and a decent sized fridge/freezer means you can stock up for the week. The bedrooms are finished to a high standard and most importantly have comfortable beds and air-conditioning in two of them. There are two good sized bathrooms with really powerful showers and unlimited hot water. The grounds have a lovely outside eating area that's well shaded at the side of the house and a super gas bbq means outdoor cooking was a breeze. We simply loved the house, it really worked. The beach is at the end of the garden (across a small paved road that provides car access to the beach front properties) and it's truly beautiful, with crystal clear waters that are safe for kids with some fantastic views over the bay. It really was a stunning location. The house has good quality sun-loungers, beach chairs and umbrella that you can take out onto the beach, which means it's all very comfortable. There are a couple of great beach bars/cafes on the bay a few minutes walk from the property and some good restaurants in the next village, about 30 mins walk along the beach front, which means you can ditch the car and not worry about driving. Despite the local bars everything was very quiet at night as things tended to shutdown by 11pm and it was a very 'local' scene with very few tourists. For those of you who may be concerned with sharing the property with the owners, don't be. Firstly, as I said, they are the perfect hosts and secondly their apartment is on an upper floor to the rear of the property, which means the house is separated. A prefect holiday, thank you Kostas and Zeta

Skaloma- the best of Greece

Everything was perfect. The house is on the sea shore, backed by green mountains. The sea was perfect for swimming, the view fabulous, the Korinth golf, the Peloponnese across the golf, the Rio-Antirio bridge. The house is very spacious, we were 8 but it could accommodate more family members. There is a lot of common space and enough privacy for everybody. The description was exact but what we found was better. Perfectly organized and maintained. The owners, Zeta and Kostas were very welcoming and very friendly. We swam a lot, traveled to Nafpactos, Galaxidy and Delphi, all very nice and interesting and drove to a show in Patras Roman Odeon. We ate very well. The restaurants recommended by the owner were very good, and the restaurant of Maria Loy with an innovative touch in the Nafpactos port is also worth a recommendation. We also liked the traditional taverns in the whole region and the lunch menu of fried anchovies (gavros) and calamari in the beach bar of Skaloma. We also cooked at home and the supper equipped kitchen made thinks easy. We definitely recommend the villa to all vacation lovers.

Very confortable house, direct on the beach

Confortable house, very clean and well equiped. Direct access to the sea, nice beach with clear water in a typical greek bay. The owners were really charming and gave us a warmfull welcome. A lot of simple and sympathical taverns 2km arround. Mostly greek tourists, very few foreigners, gives a typical and unforgettable atmosphere. The house is ideal for 11-12 people. There is a street between the garden and the sea, with low trafic. Several merchants (fruits, vegetables, ice, bread) are passing by all day long, with good price and quality: you don't need need your car. There is a sea canoe (2 places), great for parents and teenagers. Delphes is just 1 hour from here: we had a great day-trip, visiting the site in the morning (a must!), having lunch in the incredible ski-station Anchova, discovering the beautiful Monsatery Osios Loukas, and have a last promenade and excellent seafood on the nice little port of Galaxidi.

Greece at its best

A lovely house, in its own garden but almost on the beach, with marvellous views over the Gulf of Corinth to the mountains opposite. Thalassa and Anemos are spacious, clean and comfortable, and equipped with everything needed to make a holiday enjoyable. Kostas and Zeta couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Skaloma is peaceful and beautiful. There are excellent traditional tavernas a few minutes drive away, as well as good supermarkets and a fabulous bakery. For anyone not wanting to leave the village, most food items can be bought from mobile bakers/fruiterers etc. who pass right by the front of the house on a regular basis. For the more energetic, there are lots of ancient sites to visit - Delphi and Olympia to name but two. The drive from Athens was very straightforward, the weather was perfect, everyone was extremely friendly, we didn't want to come home after our ten day stay, would thoroughly recommend this property and can't wait to return!

wonderful place

Wonderful villa with a big garden, fully accommodated, next to the sea in a relaxing bay. Friendly people ready to provide a good customer service. Close to the town of Nafpactos you have the opportunity for night life. We spent two months there. I definitely recommend it for vacation.

extraordinary quality home,

The house is perfect, in front of the sea and so quiet. Zeta & Kostas, the owners are so sympatic, they care of you, everything is perfect. Presents to welcome you, best advices to enjoy your stay, they rent a family house and welcome you not as client but as family member. The area is beautiful and the sea is in front of the house. Perfect with young child.
