Great get away!!

Beautiful place our family and friends loved and the hospitality was like no other!! We had a barbecue on our first night and it was a awesome patio with a huge Blackstone that we grilled our steaks and Brats on they had everything we needed to feed our group!! They also had a bonfire pit that my husband was excited to light up it was so cozy!! Thanks Paul and Deb for everything we really enjoyed it and would recommend this beautiful getaway to everyone!!

Vacation Paradise

This cabin made my daughters and me forget there was anything but this! It was perfect - beautiful and comfortable in a setting that can be described as peaceful, charming and relaxing. The hosts were awesome and the breakfast was the best breakfast I have had in years! I wish we could have stayed longer!

Easy registration. Owners quickly replied to all questions. Great Hospitality provided by owners. Wonderful breakfasts with french press coffee brought right to us 😊

Felt right at home

It felt like we were at home. The hosts were very gracious. The property was well kept. They had just experienced a very bad storm and had it almost cleaned up.

Adventures at The Wooded Retreat

The Wooded Retreat was a like staying at your own private getaway, tucked back in the woods off the beaten path. The beauty and serenity of the place was amazing! Debra and Paul were wonderful hosts. In the evening, as we sat around the campfire, we shared stories of our trip up to Gooseberry Falls and Two Harbors and they shared stories of their collection of adorable little cabins that you can rent as well. We would definitely stay here again!!

Christmas 2020

I was on the hunt for a quiet get away to surprise my wife and dog with for Christmas 2020. I came across this wonderful spot just north of Pine City. The planning and booking process was perfect and the trip itself was exactly what we were looking for. We had plenty of private space, they had the firepit all ready for us even though it had snowed the day before we came up, and there was plenty to do in the area (with our hosts suggestions as well). We will be coming back for a Summer stay as well!

Getaway

Very nice time. Had an amazing cool rainy night to enjoy a great nights sleep. There were a few little things that could have been repaired that led me to only rate this stay as a 4. The breakfast was not what we expected, but was fairly accurate in comparison to the listing. Overall, beautiful setting and the owner was very helpful and responsive. We had a great time. Thank you.

Isolation Cation

If you're looking for a quiet out in the woods home away from home this is it. Nestled in the timber is a perfect spot for peace and tranquility. I would suggest not going here for a work trip though as the Internet with all the trees is less than ideal. But I think that's half the point for this place. The owners were unbelievable and helped with anything we may have needed. I definitely recommend over and over. If you're a gambler, golfer this is a great centralized location to multiple courses. 5 or so within 20 to 30 miles.

Beautiful wooded setting

The cabin is in a beautiful wooded setting. We didn't get to use the outdoor patio and firepit due to rain, but it looked really nice out there. The Deluxe suite is really nice and cozy. The only thing I didn't care for was there is not a door to lock going into the suite there is only a curtain.

Short stay

We stayed at this place for only one night. Overall it was good, beautiful location but one thing we were not aware at the moment of booking is that the house is not entirely ours for the stay. Otherwise would recommend.

Honeymoon Stay

Beautiful property in the woods. Very restful place to spend our honeymoon. Deborah went out of her way to make our stay special. She went above and beyond and even made us breakfast, which we were not expecting!!!! She was great to communicate with, and we enjoyed getting to know her and her husband. We would definitely stay there again!!!

Fantastic b&b!

Deb & Paul were absolutely amazing. We felt at home. The property is gorgeous and quiet. The hospitality is top notch. I highly recommend this place! Amazing little cottages on the property as well as various firepits. Close to Pine City and Cross Lake.

Lovely people, very nice stay

Had a very nice stay here. The owners are very gracious hosts. The cabin is beautiful and everything is nicely kept. This is almost a bed and breakfast kind of stay. The owners were onsite and made a delicious breakfast. If you require 💯 privacy, this would not be ideal. But we really enjoyed ourselves. Excellent location 👍
