David and Melissa started coming to Ocean Grove years ago. There was something special about the grove that kept drawing them back. Melissa, from upstate NY and David, from Wisconsin made their home in NY many years ago due to their careers as Opera Singers. Now they enjoy teaching and singing closer to home.

We wanted to buy a multi family for the possible income. But sure enough, we fell in love with the house. We really are proud of the work we have done. And yes, we have done almost all of the reno ourselves. It is wonderful to own a home in Ocean Grove. The Grove is a unique blend of people always looking out for others. It is just the most peaceful place.

Fell in love with the porches and that was it. Done deal. Loved how deep they are, how relaxing, and peaceful. As we were fixing up the house, we uncovered some beautiful aspects that had been covered up. Whether it was the arch found under a ceiling, or the actual height of the ceiling that had been hidden by a drop down ceiling (iew) The newspapers we found from 1941 when we took off the carpet and linoleum up from the floors, the actual pot to cook in that was found in the wall. The list goes on and on - Oh and the glass bottles we found in the basement! So many interesting discoveries. One of the most interesting is that it was originally a boarding house back in the 1800's. And yes, we have heard noises that cannot be explained. But, it seems that "everyone" is friendly. lol
