The good: great location, generous size, nice interior furnishings
The bad: kitchen is very sparsely equipped (we had to buy cutting boards, knives, wine glasses), no ice maker, no shelves in the freezer for when we bought ice, rust around fridge and stove bottoms, other broken things in kitchen that should have been fixed (plate rack, sliding drawers). There were no cleaning tools (vacuum, mop) which were really needed--we had to wash our feet every night before bed since the floors, though swept, were filthy.
The ugly: The pool has a major leak--we had to buy a hose to keep filling it daily or the water level would drop below the filter and make a very loud gurgling noise (that the neighbors had trouble with). The owner must not care about the water bill since it lost at least 3" of water a day. Outdoor furniture was breaking down, ugly, stained and uncomfortable. And the "landscaping" consisted of dead plants in pots and gravel that had to be swept back every day.
Notes: Leave a note regarding the laundry being outside the kitchen!
