Perfect Holiday

Beautiful home in quaint, quiet village but close to everything. Helen was quick with response to questions and was kind enough to allow us early check in. Kitchen fully stocked with an abundance of everything. Please consider adding an extra bath towel or two. Also town has wonderful hotel garden restaurant, Hotel Saint Alban, a must to dine at.

A spacious, comfortable stay

We loved this house-the small town is so friendly with an epicerie/cafe just a five minute walk away. Larger supermarkets/markets and shopping are a ten minute drive in the historic town of Pezanas. The house itself is light, airy and well equiped-especially the kitchen which has everything anyone would need. The house is so comfortable and is easy to feel at home in. The plunge pool was a real treat. There was an issue with a broken toilet push button that was not fixed while we were there, but luckily there were only three of us in the house so it didn't really affect us as there are two bathrooms to use. Helen the owner, did reply to our messages more than once to try to organise the repair. One thing to be aware of is the internet-is not totally reliable-we had several days when we couldn't use it. With regards to the house, if I was being really picky I would like larger bathroom towels-ours were pretty small and although clean, one had stains on. All in all a wonderful property in a fiendly town-we definately would come again.

Nous étions hébergé dans une jolie maison de village à 2 étages qui avait beaucoup de charme mais qui mériterait un peu de rafraîchissement. Elle etait très bien positionnée a 5mn de Pézenas, proche des accès autoroutier et une vingtaine de minutes de la plage. Les échanges avec la propriétaire était simple et elle était réactive pour répondre. En revanche nous avons eu très chaud car la maison n'est malheureusement pas climatisée. Il y avait des ventilateurs mais les nuits ont été parfois difficiles car les températures sont montées haut pendant notre séjour. Enfin la piscine est vraiment petite et les plaques en aluminium en réduise d'autant plus la superficie utilisable. L'eau était perpétuellement laiteuse malgré l'entretien qui a été réalisé lors du séjour. C'est vraiment dommage car personnellement ça ne m'a pas donné envie de me baigner...mais n'a pas empêché nos enfants de s'amuser. Nous avons passé un bon séjour mais le prix de la location reste élevé par rapport à l'état de la maison, de la piscine... La localisation ne fait malheureusement pas tout.

Jolie maison dans un petit village calme

Jolie maison bien équipée. Très calme- promenades environnantes agréables. La propreté est toutefois un point faible. La piscine n’a pas pu être beaucoup utilisée du fait d’une eau très trouble en ces fortes chaleurs mais elle est enclavée dans une petite terrasse agréable.

Ein schönes Ferienhaus mit genügend Platz für uns 7. Ein Parkplatz gehört nicht zum Haus. Es sind aber in direkter Nähe kostenfreie Parkplätze zu finden. Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans la maison d'Helen. Le village est très agréable et typique. La maison est fonctionnelle, la piscine est petite mais avec 2 enfants en bas âge, cela nous a parfaitement convenu. Proche de belles ballades et de sites à voir, 30 min de la côte.

Calme et bien situé

Cette maison est idéale pour un séjour reposant et des activités variées : à l'écart de l'agitation de la côte, on peut accéder aux plages en 15-20 minutes; mais aussi visiter de nombreux sites historiques; faire des ballades en pleine nature, du canoë.... Bref, de nombreuses possibilités. Enfin, la maison est très agreable et le village magnifique, à 5 minutes de Pezenas. La piscine permet de se relaxer après une journée bien occupée, même s'il ne faut pas espérer y faire plus de 2 brasses compte tenu de sa taille: une "machine à nager" y est installée pour pallier à cette contrainte. Bref d'excellentes vacances.

Excellent base for a relaxing family holiday!

The owner was very helpful and responsive in communication in advance. On arrival the key was in a combination access box to the side of the door, so late arrival isn't a problem. Once inside the house, it was exactly as described. Very clean and well-furnished, the bedrooms were comfortable with good wardrobe space and we all slept well. The kitchen diner is well equipped and enabled us to prepare food that we bought locally. There is a lounge/TV room where we wanted to watch some french TV, but we couldn't persuade the TV to work. We ate outside around the table of the ground floor terrace by the pool and enjoyed the small sun terrace on the first floor. The little pool is refreshing on a hot day, it has a jet installed so you can swim against the current - I found the size of the pool a little small for that, but it's a nice feature. The village of Nézignan-l'Evêque is hidden from the crowds, it's a quiet friendly place and the locals greet you in passing. It has a choice of places to eat with a restaurant inside a hotel, a pizza restaurant and a café bar. It also has a small supermarket/general store and a good boulangerie. Otherwise there is a wide range of other options within a 15 minute drive. We had a lovely relaxing week in which we spent a day on the beach at Agde and went canoeing on the river Orb, as well as visiting some beautiful ancient towns locally. Thoroughly recommended!

Our character 'maison de village' near Pézenas is a spacious 3 storey holiday home rental in France. Its central location and terrace and pool make this property a real speciality in the area! Located in the remnants of an ancient Medieval castle, Nézignan L`Évêque is a beautiful village in the heart of the Languedoc region of Southern France. Golden Mediterranean beaches just 15 minutes away, and the fantastic mountain range a mere 35 minutes. Ideal property for couples or families!

この宿泊施設の特徴

On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen/dining area with all mod cons including dishwasher, oven/grill, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and toaster. The dining area has table and seating for up to six people. There is a wood-burning stove and 2 French windows out to the street. At the back is a small room that can be used as an office. This room leads out to a terrace with table and chairs and access to the pool.

On the first Floor there is a large airy bedroom with double bed, built-in wardrobe, dressing table and chest of drawers. There is a shower room with wc. Lounge with sofa and TV with UK freeview TV.

On the second floor there are 2 twin bedrooms and another shower room with w.c.

Outside there are 2 terraces one on the ground floor of the kitchen and one on the first floor. Both over look the pool with sun loungers provided. The pool is 3x4m and has a stainless steel bench to sit on and cool off.

The village has a range of shops including a baker, mobile butcher, newsagent, grocer, post office, tourist office, hairdresser, bar, hotel/restaurant, pizzeria and medical centre. Nézignan L'Évêque holds a Music and Wine Festival every July. Other celebrations include Fete L'Été (June), Bastille (July), Fete Local (July) and Fete des Vendanges.

A 5 minute drive from the medieval town of Pezenas, home of Moliere, with its period architecture and a great choice of restaurants, pavement cafes, art galleries, museums, boutiques and a super Saturday market.

The Canal du Midi, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO is 15 minutes away. The canal is ideal for hiring barges, cycling or walking along the towpath.

Set in beautiful scenery 12 minutes towards Beziers is Saint-Thomas golf course which offers 18-holes for all levels throughout the year.

There is superb walking available in the Montagnes Noires, there is also Lac Salagou for wonderful freshwater lake swimming andwater sports.

Close by are the cities of Beziers (15mins), Montpellier (50min).
