Clean and Cute

The location of this home was perfect for enjoying the nearby national forests and thier beauty. The private road was lovely and nearby fields had deer, usually quite a few, pretty much every time we drove by! The home itself was nice and clean and the host was very responsive

Nice getaway spot to explore western NC. Tidy, comfortable, great deck. Would visit again.

Enjoyed the stay

Enjoyed the stay. Very nice and clean. Just a few miles from Brevard that has some nice stores and has a few restaurants. Plenty to do from shopping to hiking. This is 1 of those places you keep in mind when staying in the area.

We absolutely loved this house. It was beautiful with beautiful views. Quiet location. The fire pit at night was awesome. She had plenty of wood for us to burn. We had a great overall experience staying here in this house and area. Thank you

Very quiet and peaceful get away

Property was snuggled away in a quiet area in the mountains but close enough to town for shopping at the shops and to get groceries. House is older and somewhat outdated but pretty much clean. Ive stayed in VRBO’s several times in the area without any issues with bugs but we did see lot of bugs/gnats in this house. I realize it’s in the woods and some bugs are to be expected but these were a nuisance for most of our stay. Stairway steps up to the bedrooms and 1/2 bath are extremely narrow. We had to walk up and down sideways to prevent a possible fall. Upstairs bedrooms are quite small and do have a roof slant to them so you can only stand up straight at the entrance to the room. It’s not really an issue but beware if you get up in the night and forget to stoop down when walking around the bed 😆 Outdoor large porch and fire pit is really nice. Gas grill was clean and fairly new. There is also a small screened in porch with a small table for two. Kitchen was supplied with all utensils needed including wine bottle openers and wine glasses, toaster, coffee pot etc. The only drawback for us was there only being one full bathroom so we all had to share the same shower. Not that big of a deal if it’s all family but if traveling with friends, it’s not ideal. Master bedroom and bath are huge with plenty of space if you need to have a pack n play or rollaway in the room for small children. The overall stay was pleasant and we enjoyed ourselves.

In town for a mountain bike race. Accommodations were easy to access and exactly as described! Super clean. Loved that all the light switches were labeled 😃! Thank you!

Convenient Location

Our stay was shorter than originally planned, but the property met our needs very well. The three bedrooms were perfect for our stay and the living space was quite spacious and the kitchen well stocked. Upon arrival we had difficulty getting into the house because the entry code to the lock box that we had been given was incorrect. This was disturbing, especially since we arrived after dark and were concerned as to whether we would be able to get in for a good night rest. Fortunately, we were able to contact the owner using the Ring doorbell at the garage. He gave us the correct code and we entered with no further issues. Other than this, we enjoyed our stay at this beautiful location and would certainly consider staying here again.

Great property!

This is an excellent property for the price. Way up the mountain and peaceful as can be. Watch for deer on the lawn in the early morning and early evening. And right down the road is Connastee falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in NC. About a twelve minute drive to downtown Brevard and ten to Dupont State park. Host was excellent and answered all questions promptly. Note - there is only one shower/bath, but that didn't hinder our stay one bit. Thanks Lynn!

Fun stay in the foothills

Our family of 5 had a great short stay as we were visiting the local mountain fair. Immaculately clean Cabin, beautiful property grounds, peaceful/quiet, and great amenities. We hope to be back sometime for the hikes to the state park and all the waterfalls.

10/10 would stay here again.

The second we walked in and looked around we were already dreaming about our next trip there! It fit my large family perfect and was so comfortable. The cleanest rental I have ever stayed in, and I've stayed in a ton. The porch was great, we loved the fire pit, and the kitchen was fully stocked. Such a wonderful mountain home!

Very Relaxing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Very relaxing porch/deck overlooking treeline. We saw deer just about every day, birds, chipmunks and even a WHITE squirrel! After morning hikes to area waterfalls in Dupont, we enjoyed our evenings at the house. The house is private with a short trail behind the house which circles the neighborhood. We did meet a few neighbors who were extremely nice and friendly! The owners were great about check in and out and the house was very clean except for some fruit flies/gnats that had appeared when previous guests stayed. We discovered that bags of trash had been left in the wood bin vs. the trash bin and that is where the majority were coming from. We let the owners know and they responded immediately with coming to the house and removing the trash. I also ran the disposal with a cleaning tablet since the pesky things love garbage disposals and that seemed to get rid of most of them. in the kitchen. Hopefully, they will stay gone! The bed was comfortable, there were plenty of towels and washcloths, and the kitchen was fairly well stocked for eating and cooking. I personally would have liked a few extra blankets or throws for lounging around but that is not a big deal! Overall we would love to stay here again!

Perfect home base

We enjoyed the convenient location, spacious master room, and the back porch. It was nice to have the option to grill out, and the yard has grassy areas that are safe (without any steep cliffs) for the children to play outside.

Perfect Location!

Ideally located close to both Pisgah and DuPont parks, this was an perfect base for hiking, waterfalls, and mountain biking! Also just a short drive into lovely Brevard. Very quiet, secluded location. We will gladly book this house again!
