You have to visit an agency office to collect the keys. Got charged a deposit that was extremely high (4 figures) and was almost double what was stated on the contract.
The flat itself is nice, new and quite spacious, however, the communal areas of the building on floor zero have a pungent odour of something like damp / mould or animal urine. This extends to the wellness areas, in particular the hammam which smelled dreadful during our visit and spoiled the enjoyment of these facilities.
While the flat is advertised as having two bathrooms, there is only one toilet!
The access to the pistes close to the apartment is not suitable for beginners but was ok for our experiences group, leading directly to the Super Chatel lift less than 100m from the building.
Access to town on foot is through an adjacent building which requires use of 3 elevators and a bunch of keys. Unfortunately, only one set of keys is provided, which is difficult for a group of 4-6 independent adults.
While the dishwasher didn’t work for our first 3 days, it was fixed on the fourth day as soon as it was reported.
There were a number of things missing that would have made the flat more guest friendly:
No soap or washing up liquid or shower gel was provided. This is cheap and easy to leave at least some soap in the bathroom to encourage hygiene.
No dishwasher tablets, not even 1 for the first day.
No cleaning cloths or sponges despite warnings of a fine if the kitchen isn’t perfectly clean. The agency provided a sponge and a tea towel on request when the dishwasher failed to work.
There is no rack on which to dry the pots and pans in the kitchen. Likewise there is no rack to dry the clothes if you use the washing machine.
Only 1 toilet roll on arrival. It would be better to provide an appropriate number of toilet rolls for the length of the stay and number of people in the rental contract.
No hand towels - only one bath towel per person. This is quite irritating if you have long hair. Not even spare towels to use for the hammam / sauna.
Ladder to get in to the top bunk is not fit for purpose - it isn’t attached to the ceiling and it is both difficult and dangerous to climb around it in the middle of the night. Cutting off the ladder at the level of the top bunk would make it easier to use
Insufficient lighting in the living room - needs lighting over / around the dining table. An extra floor standing uplighter would be helpful.
