Naples Palace.

This apartment is right in a very busy neighborhood. The streets are busy and full of life! We were able to walk around without any issues, the language was our only issue. We toured the city by foot and got to many areas.

Napoli... the old town

This neighbourhood is chaotic and noisy... exactly as we thought it would be... and we loved it!!! The accommodation dates back centuries, so if you're looking for something new, hotel like and quiet this is not the place for you! Thank you to Paola for putting together a comprehensive day by day itinerary.!

Loft

Hosts were very nice, and gave us a tour of the private living quarters in a palace 5 centuries old. Location was not the greatest, and it wasn’t quite as clean as we would have liked.

April in Napoli

The property was as advertised. Great location for walking to all the neighborhoods, especially the Spanish Quarter which was our favorite. One bedroom and connected full bathroom is downstairs, the other upstairs with the main common area and kitchen. The neighborhood of the property is in a lively area; lots to eat and drink and plenty of stores for shopping for food or other items. Our host was 5 star and his mother spent time with us, going over the history of the 17th century castle. Napoli isn’t for everyone; the city is super chaotic and the streets narrow. But we loved it; love the hustle and bustle of the city. We would recommend for sure, but you will hear noise (scooters and cars). The showers are close quarters, so not recommended for heavier bodies. We would return in heartbeat. Thank you Francesco! Molto Bella!

L'espace est un atout. Le quartier Sanita très vivant. Chambre et literie confortable, de qualité.Toutefois, difficile de cuisiner car la hotte ne fonctionne pas ni les lumières au dessus de la cuisinière.La douche de la chambre principale s'écoule difficilement.Les chaises anciennes de la salle a manger -bibliotheque quoique belles sont inconfortables. La cafetière sans couvercle est inutilisable. Un petit investissement de la part du propriétaire pour rendre le quotidien plus agréable serait le bienvenu.

Au coeur du vieux Naples, logement atypique et plein de charme

Dans un vieux palais du quartier populaire et effervescent de la Sanità, l'appartement un peu bricolé, mêle vétusté et confort (chambres et salles d'eau bien équipées). Bon contact avec nos hôtes, en particulier la Princesse Paola. Ce logement peu conventionnel nous a beaucoup plu.

Fantastisch ervaring, centrale locatie in historisch palazzo

Mooi ruim verblijf in oude bibliotheek in historisch palazzo, bijzonder vriendelijke ontvangst. Bij uitval van de electriciteit werd onmiddellijk een alternatief appartement in hetzelfde palazzo ter beschikking gesteld. Centrale locatie, metro, restaurants en winkels op minuten afstand. Een echte aanrader!

The hosts were amazing. The property is very run down. Walking barefoot in the apartment made our feet black with dirt. The shower drain was clogged. There were no garbage bins. The area is very loud until all hours. The door to our apartment didn’t close all the way. The elevator opens directly into the apartment. The place needs a lot of work. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend.

It is very unique as it is truly a Neapolitanian palace. People are very nice. The property has two floors and is huge. The bedroom in the lower part is a little dark, but quiet. We stayed in the upper part of the apartment.

Lieu intéressant

Excellent accueil par la propriétaire agréable et cultivée. L'appartement est très agréable grâce a sa grande taille, les hauts plafonds et les deux niveaux, ses deux chambres de charactere, deux salles de bains et la vaste bibliotheque. Mais a part la nouvelle cuisine étincelante le tout est un peu vétuste ; dans la chambre du bas même la fenêtre fermée un filet d'air froid considérable était inévitable. La situation sur une rue commerciale est très pratique mais puisque il s'agit de la rue principale du quartier, la circulation est très audible jusque longtemps après minuit. A propos du quartier : Celui ci est très bien située, station de métro a 5 minutes, en un peu plus de 10 ont atteint la cathédrale. La quartier de la Sanita lui-même est extrêmement pittoresque, mais en quittant la rue principale le décor, surtout de nuit, devient rapidement un peu... particulier dans le labyrinthe des minuscules ruelles. Mais ces ruelles font évidement en même temps le charme de la ville. A quelques mètres de l'appartement se trouvent deux haut lieux culinaires de Naples, l'un de la Pizza, l'autre une fameuse pâtisserie ; ont se régale dans les deux. En fin de compte tout dépend des locataires : Excellent endroit pour jeunes, couche-tards, deux couples, troupe de copains ; du au quartier et a l'escalier raide et tortueux a l’intérieur de l'appartement pas trop commode pour des voyageurs d'un certain age ou avec des enfants.

Gianfrancesco's apartment is really as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. When we got to Napoli, we met up with his mother Paola, who gave us the key and showed us around. She is extremely friendly and helpful and provided us with invaluable assistance throughout of stay, making sure we got the most out of our trip, and Gianfrancesco was always available by phone, in case we had a problem. Our apartment is literally an aisle of the family-owned, aristocratic building, right in the center of Napoli. The palace itself is very old, with very high ceilings (some frescoed) and huge windows. Needless to say, the food was sublime, with cheap quality groceries available in the shops on the street below and incredible restaurants scattered throughout the city. The city itself is extremely vibrant and full of history, and the surrounding countryside is some of the most gorgeous I've even seen (especially the Amalfi coast) . All in all we couldn't have asked for a better or more memorable experience, courtesy of Gianfrancesco and Paola. We will certainly be back!

This rental made our stay in Napoli outstanding. I have to admit we were a bit skeptical about visiting Napoli but Paola (our hostess) was as charming as lovely as anyone could be. She put us at ease immediately and continued to treat us as family. We were sad to say goodbye to Paola but I am sure we will see her again. Now we have a reason to visit Napoli. The apt itself was as charming as Paola, filled with antiques and art. Honestly, we can't thank paola enough for her sweet kindness!

The apartment is in an area very well linked to everywhere (2 subways, 5 bus-lines and taxi rank) and offers many touristic attractions.

By appointment only, it's possible to visit the Prince's apartment, composed by several reception rooms, a huge ballroom with 18th century frescoes on the ceiling and a splendid 18th century chandelier, a very important library with 16th - 17th - 18th century books, in which rooms the princely family regularly organizes cultural events as concerts, theater exhibitions and debates.
