The property was beautiful and location was wonderful! Pets allowed is a deal maker. Only complaint we had were the mattress. They need to be replaced ASAP. But, overall a 4!

We enjoyed our stay so much. Created so many wonderful memories at Pelican Jacks. The house is beautiful and roomy. It has easy access to the beach which is also beautiful. Highly recommend.

Paradise on Navarre Beach

The 2 living areas, 5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms were great with our group of 11. The 2 balconies facing the ocean gave you places to read or nap with a lovely breeze. Lots of shells, gorgeous white sand & aqua waters to enjoy. Location is excellent! I liked having our own personal boardwalk to the beach. Good times!

There was everything and anything you could want for time with friends and family- well fitted kitchen for seafood feasts, games and puzzles for the rare rainy day, and an elevator when sightseeing had taken a toll. Management came to the rescue with batteries quickly. Johnny Houston’s served up a burger feast for the going away dinner. Looking forward to next year!

PERFECT GETAWAY FOR LARGE FAMILY

Perfect location! Spent 5 nights at Thanksgiving with large family including 8 adults and grandchildren ages 1-9...tons of room, living area/dining/kitchen combo perfect size for our group. Private walkway to beach a plus!!! Love that there were 2 sets of washers/dryers, ice machine downstairs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Only negative was that we thought $500+ cleaning fee was over the top! Also, elevator did not work although property manager sent somewhat out immediately..he couldn't fix it.

Relaxing break

We booked last minute hoping for some relaxing and healing time by the beach. We invited friends to join us for part of the time. We relaxed, spent much time on the porch mesmerized by the changing moods of the ocean. 3 en-suites allowed for privacy. Communication was easy and helpful. The house was immaculate and better than the pictures showed. Location could not have been better. We have already booked for next year!

Perfect fit for our family of 10

This house has pretty much everything you need for a week long stay. Appliances, utensils, cookware, flatware, etc were plentiful. As were bath towels, wash cloths in every bathroom. Extra blankets for the few of us that needed them at night. We did have to buy some kitchen dish cloths, Everything was in good working order. There are many nail heads popping up on all of the decking, tore off the tip of my grandsons toe & sliced a toe on another child. A couple steps have wood coming apart so we made sure to use only one side of the stairs outside...we are locals & understand how quickly wood rots from the salt water/air.. Mgmt was great & even let us check in early. Wish we could have stayed another week ;)

However there were a couple of maintenance issues . The no hot water in one shower was fixed promptly. The top rack of the dishwasher was broken and not usable for our we had to wash dishes on vacation. No ideal.

The wind whipped the water into whitecaps, all watchable from the dining table. On the good days, we watched dolphins party. The large house was great for all our visitors-lots of places to be together and apart. The kitchen was fully equipped. There were several seafood feasts served family style.This was our second year at Pelican Jack’s. We love the location. The house is perfectly situated to hear and see the ocean. The management company communicated well and reacted quickly. And yes, we booked again for next year!

Great Beach Front Location

Slight problem with the doors to the main deck sticking and not wanting to close.House is between two new builds both of which have splash pools on their decks. This can be awkward do to the proximity of all three decks.While this was not a problem for us, I would suggest you get the elevator key if you have mobility issues, this house is the house of stairs, so many stairs. Property management nicely took trash can to the curb on trash day and put it back by the garage.Do not depend on the grill. It was a disaster, had not been cleaned, possibly ever. Definitely would return, the beach was wide and not crowded. We also enjoyed tracking all the air traffic from the base.

Lots of potential

Pros: -a great space for a large group to spread out. -Hot water shower on lowest deck . -Large kitchen, dining area and big living area with fabulous views of the beach. -Variety of refrigerators: 2 wine cooling/drink refrigerators, ice maker in the bottom level and frig and ice maker in the garage. Issues: -After checking in on Saturday, we realized late Sunday that the kitchen main refrigerator was not cooling at sufficiently cold temps. The folks at the property management were very friendly but told us that a part had been ordered on Friday to fix the frig. The repair was finalized on Wednesday. -Elevator: The check in materials say "use of elevator is reserved for guests with limited mobility" and there wasn't any information we could find about using the garage. We were told on Monday to use the elevator and to use the fridge and ice maker in the garage. -The cooktop is almost unusable. The knobs do not line up with the correct heat setting and they come off very easily. We pulled off the cooking, but after much frustration each and every time. --One large bedroom upstairs does a proper closet. Had to hang clothes in the laundry room in the hallway. Curtains in the master bedroom were broken and unusable--no privacy possible in that bedroom. I notified the property manager and learned that the parts had been ordered. -This rental has great potential. We had a marvelous time. With a few updates and repairs it would be fabulous!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our 3-generation family of 14 stayed a week at Pelican Jacks and was comfortable and had plenty of room in this beautiful home. The views from every floor are gorgeous and the outdoor areas are comfortable and seat plenty. The elevator (while a little tricky to figure out) was key for some of the older members of the group and very helpful moving luggage and groceries up and down the stairs. The beach was uncrowded in front of the house and we loved Navarre. The area is less developed than the 30A area where we had previously stayed, but still has plenty of restaurants and things to do.Couple of things that could use some attention from the owners: The appliances could use some updating. The dishwasher didn't work from day one and the rental agency was not helpful at all. Told us that the repair company was backlogged and said they were unable to call anyone other than this one repair company to fix it? Seemed crazy that a rental company has one appliance repair company they work with. They did bring paper plates, but still frustrating to wash dishes for 14 people on our vacation when we paid so much for the house. Also, the range has had it. Knobs come off and get in the wrong position making it hard to tell if eyes are on or off. Dangerous and not acceptable in a house you pay this much for. Lastly, some of the mattresses need replacing, especially the queen that shares a bathroom with the bunkroom. It is insanely squeaky, waking anyone who sleeps there every time they move in bed.Overall, the house is beautiful in a fantastic location and very comfortable for a large group. We would rent it again.
