The cabin was beautiful and well furnished. The beds were very nice and comfortable too. The view is amazing and that back porch is perfect in the mornings. The lower level was like a little apartment with a sitting area and perfect for teenagers. There were a few things I didn't care for though. The lighting in the bedrooms is TERRIBLE. It's dark even for the middle of the day! No way you could read or put on makeup in there. The main level bedroom had a really loud overhead fan and you couldn't sleep while it was on. The first morning we woke up to 78 degrees in the house. Maintenance fixed it fairly quickly though. A few outlets didn't work in the main level bedroom. The thermostats are locked at 72 which may be ok for some but not us. At least give the option for 70. Also, checkout is at 10 which I was aware of, but would it really hurt to give another hour without threatening to charge a whole extra night if we were in there one minute after 10? Also, the cleaning we were asked to do at checkout (take all trash from all over the house outside, put all towels in the bathtubs, start the dishwasher or put up all dishes, etc.) was a lot for a 3 level home and kids. I was running around like crazy making sure everything was done the morning we left while also getting kids out the door and our things packed in the car. There was an envelope left out for us to tip our housekeeper too. We never saw a housekeeper. I certainly don't mind tipping for services but we never got any and after all the required cleaning we did there was no mess for housekeeping to clean up. Overall we had a good stay and the house as I said was beautiful......just needs a few maintenance things done like lighting and electrical repairs. We had good communication with the management office through text which was really nice too.
