Great charming 18th century house (450 m2 - for 17 people - 8 bedrooms - comfortable) with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and Lake Trasimeno.

It is located in the middle of a park with old trees, among the hills of Lake Trasimeno and in an area among the richest in remains of Etruscan civilization.

GROUND FLOOR: hall, large living room with typical fireplace, dining room, large kitchen where you can have meals (fireplace, gas cooker, electric oven, refrigerators, microwave oven) scullery (with sink, dishwasher, washing machine), double bedroom, bathroom accessible to disabled people, WC;
1st floor: landing with double bedroom and bathroom with toilet, large living room with balcony, three bedrooms (two doubles and a triple), one with bathroom with toilet;
2nd floor: hall, three double bedroom, bathroom (bath, shower, WC);
3rd floor: nice living in the "torretta" with magnificent views of the lake and the surrounding hills.

Ideally located between Umbria and Tuscany, the villa is an ideal starting point for those who want to visit the riches offered by these two regions and at the same time, allows a relaxing stay, for lovers of space , greenery and tranquility of the surrounding park (2 hectares) with:

This property has bags of charm, like living on the set of ‘The Leopard’. All the rooms are large and roomy, the furnishings are period but comfortable. The kitchen is basically well equipped, although the layout is a bit dated. Actually removing some plates and glasses would be helpful.The dining room is used as a chair store - 25 or more dining chairs - which gives a crowded feel.The pool is away from the house and out of sight, but nice when you get there.The mosquitos are relentless in the garden, although the house is well protected by nets at the windows.The views and surroundings are spectacular.

Beautiful villa in a gorgeous setting!

Our group of 8 stayed at Villa Violetta for one week. The villa is absolutely beautiful and it’s even better than the pictures on the website. Plenty of space for all of us to enjoy, both inside and out. Veronique was very responsive throughout the whole booking process and gave us excellent recommendations. One of the best being a private chef who came to the villa to cook for us for 2 nights during our stay (her name is Stefania). Nicola, the property manager was also very friendly, responsive, and attended to all of our needs. Our week there was an experience we will never forget!!

Unforgettable anniversary celebration

Villa Violetta is magnificent! Its size accommodated our extended family and was warm and inviting as well. Our host Veronique was amazing. She anticipated many of our needs on arrival and made our stay very special. The views, the setting, the pool, the access to the small town as well as proximity to the lake and the larger town of Chiusi create a unique setting. We were able to take day trips to Florence, Siena and San Gimignano. Villa Violetta is magical!

Beautiful Stay at Villa Alta

We stayed at Villa Alta, which is on the same beautiful estate as Villa Violetta, and had a fabulous week. The Villa is just as advertised - everything clean and spacious, tastefully designed throughout, everything in perfect working order, modern ensuite bathrooms to every bedroom, comfortable beds, and a pristine kitchen to gather around at the beginning and end of every day. The outside dining and lounging areas were just as inviting, with an infinity pool area overlooking the rolling Umbrian hills that was just perfect. Many beautiful memories were made. Veronique was attentive and a pleasure to deal with for any extras we needed, and the property manager Nicola was never far if we needed him. Great team. Highly recommend renting E-bikes to explore the gorgeous trails in the area, and private chef Alessio for incredible sunset meals, they made the experience that much more enjoyable. A wonderful stay, we hope to be back soon.

Deux semaines à la villa Violetta

Villa ayant une très belle architecture, spacieuse, idéale pour des vacances en famille pour petits et grands dans un écrin de verdure avec une vue magnifique sur le lac Trasimène. Coin piscine très bien aménagé. Très grande disponibilité de la propriétaire et des personnes de service mais aussi très grande discrétion de leur part.

Beautiful charming villa for large group

My group of 18 stayed at this charming villa for my milestone birthday. The check in process was smooth, and the host was very communicative. She sent across information about some nearby sites too which was very helpful for those unfamiliar with the area. The villa parking area can easily fit up to 6 cars, and it was well situated to nearby towns such as Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena, Cortona and more. The bedrooms and house are exactly as pictured. The are bedrooms are clean, and there was air conditioning in each bedroom (but not the commons areas). Water pressure was great. Wifi was strong. One of the bathrooms was a bit leaky and had ants so we avoided using that bathroom after day 3. The pool was the best part of the house. It was clean and modern, and there were amazing views of the surrounding areas. There are lots of mosquitoes so bring plenty of repellent. Overall, it was an amazing experience. One of the best weeks of my life. Thank you.

Wonderful house

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful Umbrian house. Stayed 3 families with kids and it all worked out quite well in the nicely air conditioned and overall well equipped house with a fantastic pool area!

Perfect house for big family

The house was big and spacious, all bedrooms have ac. Great kitchen for cooking dinner for many people, we where 17. The private pool is new and just perfect! The view from it is amazing!

Nous sommes 4 familles à avoir séjourné dans cette maison dont 9 enfants âgés de 5 à 16 ans. Les volumes de la maison se prêtent particulièrement bien à des séjours en groupe, les chambres sont très spacieuses ainsi que la cuisine. La plupart des chambres sont équipées de ventilateurs ce qui n’est pas un luxe dans les périodes de canicule. Une seule chambre est équipée d’une salle de bain, les 3 autres SDB indépendantes sont bien équipées et spacieuses. Concernant l’extérieur la maison est au calme, posée sur une colline avec une vue dégagée. Le coin piscine est très agréable, on ne se lasse pas de la vue sur les champs et sur le lac. A moins de 10 min à pied il y a le bar du village qui propose de très bonnes pizzas, le lieu idéal pour prendre l’apéro ! Nous avions loué des vélos pour les enfants qui pouvaient aller se promener en toute sécurité sur les chemins qui entourent la maison.

Swimming pool not appropriate

When I booked I had seen pictures of this lovely old villa with a beautiful pool. On arrival we discovered the pool had been assigned to the owners new adjacent villa and the so called pool for our villa was a pop up pool on what was the parking area. This pool is not in keeping with the villa and not suitable for children. You have to climb a ladder to get into it and no shallow or deep ends or ability to enjoy sitting around it. The owner has now been required to change the advertising pictures. She also allowed us to use the main pool after 5 days when the occupants of the new villa left. However she stubbornly refused to offer any other recompense except for additional cleaning of the villa. If you were to occupy all 8 bedrooms then bathrooms facilities would be an issue as the top 4 double bedrooms share one bathroom, 3 other bedrooms on the first floor share a further bathroom. One bedroom is en-suite and there is an additional bathroom on the ground floor. The kitchen is reasonably equipped but many utensils etc old and tired and a lot of old superfluous gear filling drawers. The villa is set in well established but not particularly well maintained gardens resulting in many mosquitoes

globalement excellent séjour dans une très belle maison au cadre magnifique

Nous étions une famille de 16 personnes et nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans cette superbe maison chaleureuse et très bien équipée pour le nombre , nous avons apprécié le cadre magnifique de l'environnement et la situation proche de très belles villes. Le parc est idéal pour les enfants et pour les parents aussi avec une grande table pour déjeuner dehors et tout ce qu'il faut pour profiter du jardin. Nous avons a été bien accueillis par Angelo très disponible La propriétaire est très gentille et parle français, ce qui nous a bien aidé pour résoudre les quelques problèmes techniques que nous avons eu au début du séjour, problèmes d'électricité le soir, soucis de chauffage et d'eau chaude (nous y étions fin octobre et il ne faisait pas chaud le soir). Mais tout a été résolu et malgré ces inconvénients du début nous garderons un excellent souvenir de ces vacances.

Très agréable séjour dans un magnifique environnement!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette magnifique propriété. La maison est spacieuse, fonctionnelle et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Le parc est enchanteur. Entre les allées arborées, les vues sur la vallée, les coins tranquilles ombragés ou ensoleillés et bien sûr la superbe piscine, nous avons tous, petits et grands, trouvé notre bonheur.

Splendide !

La maison est splendide, très grande. Il y a assez de place pour tout le monde. Il y a de nombreuses tables dehors donc on ne doit pas s'amuser à les bouger en fonction du soleil. La piscine est très grande, avec une vue superbe + de nombreux transats et parasols. Mes enfants n'ont pas arrêté de jouer dans l'énorme jardin et dans les oliviers. Accueil très agréable, la personne qui s'occupe de la maison nous attendait. Il nettoie également la piscine tous les jours vers 7h du matin. Il y a assez de vaisselle, casserole, etc. Bref, super endroit à louer à 2 ou 3 familles ou entre amis!

très belle villa au coeur de la campagne. beaucoup de charme. Décoration soignée avec peintures murales magnifiques. idéale pour une très grande famille ou plusieurs familles. Piscine très agréable, avec une vue plongeante sur la campagne environnante. très joli jardin. idéalement située à la limite de la Toscane et L'ombrie, ce qui permet de nombreuses visites de ces régions très riches culturellement. aéroport de Perugia facile d'accès. nombreux restaurants typiques et délicieux dans les villes se trouvant aux alentours.

Magnifique !

J'ai adoré cette maison ! Elle se situe dans un petit village paisible avec un petit magasin (pratique pour faire des petites courses ; il y a un grand supermarché à 20 minutes). Idéal pour 3 familles, la maison est très grande ! Le seul petit hic est la taille de la cuisine/salle à manger : elle n'est pas très grande. Mais en été, on déjeune, dine et soupe dehors donc pas de souci. La piscine est très grande avec une superbe vue et beaucoup de transat (vive le far niente !). Elle est éloignée de la maison donc on peut faire une sieste dans la maison même si les enfants jouent dans la piscine :p Je reviendrai ! Ps : le jardinier vient nettoyer la piscine tous les matins vers 7h donc elle est toujours nickel.

Un trésor caché à découvrir absolument

Je suis revenu à la Villa Violetta en avril 2015 pour y retrouver des amis et l'endroit est toujours aussi magique. Les décorations intérieures sont magnifiques, particulièrement les peintures au plafond. J'ai aussi retrouvé avec plaisir le jardin, ses nombreux oliviers, et l'imprenable vue sur les collines verdoyantes si typiques de l'Ombrie. La localisation de la villa, proche de Florence, permet facilement de faire des escapades dans une des plus belles villes d'Italie. Je recommande chaleureusement!

Best "capodanno" ever!

Abbiamo trascorso il capodanno a villa viloetta, purtroppo il tempo a disposizione è stato troppo poco, abbiamo passato solo 3 giorni in questa stupenda struttura. La casa si trova in una posizione meravigliosa, completamente immersa nel verde, dove un suggestivo paesaggio collinare fa da cornice. La villa è fantastica, provvista di 8 meravigliose stanze da letto, arredate con gusto e pulite, gli spazi comuni sono molto ampi, noi eravamo 18 persone e siamo stati molto comodi, la cucina è spaziosa provvista di tutto il necessario per un soggiorno confortevole. Posizione strategica, supermercato e bar sono raggiungibili in 5 minuti di passeggiata, mentre a meno di 10 minuti di macchina si arriva sul lago Trasimeno. La padrona della villa è una persona molto disponibile e attenta alle esigenze degli ospiti. Non ci ha accolti direttamente lei perché risedente fuori Italia, ma siamo stati ricevuti da il custode della casa, anche lui molto disponibile e attento alle nostre necessità. Consiglio spassionatamente questa struttura, sicuramente noi ci torneremo. Elisabetta
