We had a great stay in this pied-à-terre in the heart of the Marais. My wife and I stayed for two weeks and had friends stay with us for six days. Since each of the two bedrooms has separate bathrooms we were quite comfortable when all four were present. We never felt crowded.
The apartment is on an inside courtyard of an old thick-walled building off a lightly-used one-way street; it is VERY quiet. The black-out curtains also work well. The beds are very comfortable.
While we did not cook formal dinners there was no reason we couldn't; the kitchen is well appointed with upgraded appliances. There's a modern laundromat about 100 ft down the street so we didn’t use the washer.
The apartment is very conveniently located. A metro station is about a block away. There's a small well-stocked market about the same distance, a coffee shop with morning pastries next door, and a couple of excellent boulangeries very short walks.
The manager, Fayçal, was extremely helpful both before and during our stay. He made sure we had everything we needed.
A couple of things to be aware of: As mentioned, this is an old building, and the stairs are steep and narrow. It wasn't a problem for us (we're only 75) on a day-to-day basis, but getting our luggage up and down was an adventure. Fayçal did help us take the duffels up. The other thing is that the "master" bedroom can be quite dark, especially when the curtains were drawn. We found a flashlight helpful.
We look forward to staying again!
